Chapter 9

Ash's Pov
We all went home after the fight from me and Lisa. I went straight to bed and fell asleep wanting the day to be over. The next day, I got up and went out the house early because I didn't want to wake my sister up. I went to school and saw Chooki, Guren and Lisa. 'Well, they are overprotective' I thought. "Hi Chooki, Guren." I said waving to them. They turned around and just walked away. For the rest of the day, Guren, Chooki, Amanda, Joshua and Lisa ignored me. After school I decided to go to the library and try to do some research for an upcoming exam. I walked into the library and saw Lisa reading a book. I went up to her and tapped her shoulder. She turned around and saw me and turned straight to her book. "What in the world do you want and why would you want to talk to me?" Lisa asked. "Look, I just wanted to apologize and well, I'm sorry for calling you a nerd but you are in a library." I said. "One, I don't accept your apology, two, I'm in a library because it is quiet and I need somewhere to think and read for a while, three, your in a library too so you can't judge me about that so whatever your name is, go away from me." Lisa said. "Hey, I just want to do some research for an exam and the name is Ash." I said. "Are you sure it isn't Asparagus because it seems right for you." Lisa said and grabbed her books and started to walk out the library. I turned to see that Chooki was here so I decided to stop Lisa for a bit. "Why do you always hang out with Chooki?" I asked. "He's my best friend and the first one since I came to this town and bye." Lisa said and walked to Chooki and they walked outside. "Looks like my only chance to make a team mate didn't work out." I said to myself and went straight to my house. "Hey sis, how come Lisa doesn't like me?" I asked my sister as soon as I got home. "Uh, she must have had a bad past and what happened yesterday must have made her remember, I really don't know." Beni said.

Chooki's Pov
After Lisa and I left the library, she looked like she was going to blow a fuse. "He decides to insult me and then trys to apologise, who does he think he is and at a library. Is he trying to become annoying." Lisa started babbling as we were walking to the park. "Lisa, who are you talking about?" I asked but she didn't hear me because she was still talking. I then lightly punched  her arm and she stopped talking. She turned to me and stared at me shocked. "Why in the world did you do that?" Lisa asked. "You would not stop talking." I answered and kept on walking. Lisa didn't move. "Do you want me to start calling you slow coach?" I asked her. "Hey, thats my nickname for you." Lisa said, catching up. "So, who were you talking about back there?" I asked again. "Asparagus, no wait, Ash, yeah thats his name." Lisa said and this time I was going to blow a fuse. "Why would he want to talk to you?" I asked. "Do I really want to know." Lisa said. "Come on, lets get to the park." I said and ran off. "Hey, wait up." Lisa yelled and ran up to me. "Hey, you wanted to hang out at the park after you went to the library so we are going to the park now come on." I said and we both ran to the park.

We just talked and had fun. At four, Lisa got a call from Guren telling her that she had to get home because they needed to talk. Guren sounded angry and I know that Guren doesn't sound angry unless we are on Quarton. "Hey, can I come with you, I kind of think there is something wrong." I said. "Yeah." Lisa said. We grabbed our bags and ran to Guren's house. When we got there, Lisa burst open the door and Guren grabbed her by the neck. "What the, Guren, what are you, ohhh." Lisa said. I looked at Guren and saw he had a dark look in his eyes. "I got him." I said and grabbed his arms, restraining him from moving. "Here I go." Lisa said and shot her light beam at Guren. "Ow, what happened." Guren said and rubbed his head. "Dark side and you kind of know the rest." Lisa said. "So now I can control my dark side." Guren said. "Yep." Lisa said and then she blacked out. "Lisa? Lisa!" Guren yelled. "At least help me get her on your couch." I said, picking her up. Guren moved his stuff off the couch and I put Lisa on it. "Hey, is it okay if I stay just so I could, uh, you know make sure Lisa is okay when she wakes up." I said. "Yeah, my dad is working late tonight and I am sure he won't mind." Guren said. I called up my parents and told them where I was staying and they let me as long as I got to school on time tomorrow. "So, what now?" I asked. "Dunno." Guren said. We ended up playing board games until we fell asleep.

Lisa's Pov
I woke up to feeling a heavy weight near me. I looked up and saw that Chooki and Guren were sleeping near me and a board game out. 'They must have played it.' I thought and got up carefully. I put one of Guren's arms around my neck and on my shoulder and lifted him up. I kind of dragged him to his room and put him in bed. I then went to Chooki and kind of put him on the couch so he could sleep. I then packed the board game up and put a blanket over Chooki. I sat down in a chair and fell asleep on it. In the morning I woke up to someone poking me. "Go away, I wanna sleep." I said sleepily. "Do you want to eat and go to school?" I heard someone say and I looked to see Chooki poking my cheek. "Give me five more minutes of sleep and I'll get right back to you." I said, trying to get him away. "Okay." Chooki said and stopped annoying me. Five minutes later, I woke up again and went to my room to get changed. After I got changed I went to the kitchen and felt that I didn't want to eat so I didn't. "So why did you black out yesterday." I heard a voice and I turned to see Chooki there. "Ugh, alot of power from the dark sides needing to be controlled this soon made me weak so my body decided to say 'lets just do whatever we want' and makes me pass out." I said. "Okay, now lets get to school before the teacher hates us." Chooki said and I saw Guren grabbing his bag. "Thats not possible considering the fact that most of the school kinda hates me." I said but grabbed my bag anyways. We walked out the house and I grabbed my skateboard. I decided to be a annoying person and go off without them and use a little bit of my speed and go faster. By the time I got to school, I had to wait for Guren and Chooki to get there because I left them there. "Hey you cheated." Chooki said. "Who said we were having a race." I said. "Hey Lisa, I'm really sorry about what happened at the beach, at least don't ignore me." I heard a voice and turned to see Ash. "And now I'm gone." I said and ran to my locker. 'Hey Chooki, can you get rid of Asparagus.' I thought to Chooki as I grabbed my books. 'Okay, meet you at class' Chooki thought to me and I went to my english class.
