Chapter 7

•Liam•

It's been a month since Ali left to go back home. I know I was lucky to be with her for five months non-stop, but now I miss her even more. Especially knowing that she should be with us, having fun and being happy. Now I don't know if she's having fun, or being happy at home.

I know how bad this is going to sound- but I hope she's not having fun. I hope she realises how much fun she had when she was with us, and comes back soon.

"Which city are we in?" Niall called from the back of the tour bus.

"We're in Pittsburg, Niall." Zayn called back.

"Pittsburg Penguins?" Louis said, rubbing his eyes on the couch.

"Shut up Lou. You're not American." Harry snapped.

"Sassy..." Louis said. Rolling his eyes.

"Louis can like hockey, even if he's not American." I said, looking down at my dimly lit phone. When Harry didn't answer, I looked up to see him staring me down. "Whoa Hazza. Relax, I wasn't getting mad." I said, raising my hands in surrender. He looked away and out the window.

"Are we almost to the hotel?" Niall whined, coming back to the main area where we were all relaxing. Louis and Zayn were sharing a couch, Harry was on a chair off to the side, Niall was coming to join me at the table.

"No, Niall. Stop whining." Zayn laughed as Niall passed.

"Why do you have so much food?" Louis asked, trying to hold back laughter. I understood how hard it was to not laugh at the poor Irishman- he could barely see over all the bags of crisps he had in his arms.

"I'm hungry."

"We'll be at the hotel soon." I said calmly. Everyone stopped talking, and just looked out the window in awe.

No matter how many times it had happened, we were always in awe at the number of our fans. There were rows upon rows of girls, all standing in the rain to just get a small glimpse of us. I suddenly felt really guilty- these people are giving up their time and energy to come watch our bus pull into a private parking lot.

"I just wish we could meet them all." Zayn sighed. The other boys nodded in agreement, and Harry turned to look at the floor.

When we finally got into the parking lot, we exited one by one. Harry and I hung back for a little while, just making sure all of our things were off of the bus.

"Harry?" I said quietly when the bus doors closed. "Can I ask you a question?"

"Go for it." He said, looking straight ahead.

"How come you didn't look at all the fans like we usually do?" I asked timidly. I didn't know if I was just being stupid, or if there was a legitimate reason. But it was better to ask than to never know.

Harry turned to me slowly as we walked, and it was like he was falling apart right in front of me.

"I see her everywhere." He whispered. I took a deep breath and slung an arm around his shoulders.

"Me too." I told him honestly. When we were up onstage, when I looked into the crowd, I just saw Danielle everywhere. Lately, Ali's been showing up as well- I would see a brunette with curls and get weak with joy. I could imagine that is was one hundred times worse for Harry.

"Boys? Smile. You have cameras on you always." A guard said, poking his head between our heads. I immediately pulled myself away from Harry, and smiled. Harry broke into a small laugh, and we both picked up the pace to get inside and cut the act.
