Chapter 14

"Where are you going this time?"

"I'm just going for a quick coffee stop for everyone. I'm just getting five dark roasts, two blonde and then chamomile tea for myself. Is that okay, babysitter?" I said to Liam, adding the last part on sarcastically. He scoffed, and then shuffled back to the main room.

"See you, Ali." Zayn grinned, and all the boys except for Harry echoed him. I glared at him for a second, before wiping the look off my face and walking out of the room quickly.

As if on cue, my phone lit up as soon as I stepped into the elevator.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Hey, are you on your way?" Jake asked urgently.

"I'm just heading out the lobby doors." I told him as I searched the streets for paps. I decided that I would be safe leaving my hood down- plus it saved me from some awfully frizzy hair.

"I see you walking."

"Stalker."

"I would come meet you, but it's just me and another girl working right now."

"Don't worry about it, I'll be there in a second." I laughed as I walked into the cozy cafe.

"Ali!" He cried as the door shut. "Why are you in a tensor? I just saw you yesterday. And your face..."

"Uh, Jake! I fell and scraped my face and sprained my wrist. Only a little sprain, though." I laughed.

"Come sit." He ordered, wiping his dishcloth over the nearest table and sitting down. "What's up? Why did you want to meet?"

"We leave tomorrow." I said bluntly, folding my hands in front of me. He placed his hands on top of mine and smiled sadly.

"That sucks. So what do you want to do? Do you want some Yorkshire tea and to sit and chat? Or do you want to pick up the boys drinks and then leave?"

"Sadly, the latter. I'm playing the delivery girl. I also wanted to say goodbye."

"I hate that word."

"Goodbye?"

"Yes. Plus, we're going to see eachother again, right?"

"Maybe when the tour breaks? If I'm free I'll text you and we'll set something up, sound good?"

"Sounds perfect." He smiled. I wasn't one to lead someone on and get their hopes up, but Jake was different. I actually mean it- when the tour breaks in late August I definitely want to come to Seattle to visit and say hello again. "I can't believe those boys would make the cripple come get their coffee. So what would you like?"

"I really don't mind." I laughed. "Six dark roasts, two blonde and a chamomile tea please." I smiled, and his co-worker went straight to work. He took my money, handed me my change and then began working on the other coffees. "So what are your plans this September?" I asked him, trying to make conversation.

"I'm going to be a junior this year." The girl smirked.

"Shut up, Millie." Jake snapped. I raised my eyebrows, and he blushed. "Millie's my sister, sorry for not introducing you guys."

"That's okay. Hi Millie." I laughed, smiling warmly at the smaller girl.

"Hey." She smiled. "This is awkward, I'm guessing you were talking to Jake. I'll carry on."

"Yeah, you do that." Jake laughed. "I think I'm just going to a community college and get some kind of diploma. I have my life sorted out already, I don't really need a job."
