Jason's pov
It's our one month anniversary so we're going to the beach to celebrate. I hold her hand as we walk barefoot on the beach. "This is nice." She says, looking at the ocean. I smile. "When we get married, let's do it on the beach." I'm surprised. I didn't expect her to be thinking about marriage. Hell I'm not even thinking about marriage. Hm, well technically right now I am. "Let's go grab a drink at the bar." I say, changing the subject. "You know I don't drink." I laugh. "Goody two shoes." I mutter. "Hey I maybe a preacher's daughter but I am most certainly not a goody two shoes Mr. Aldean!" I laugh hysterically. "You're hilarious!" "What?! You think I'm joking? Load me up!" "Baby girl, nobody says load me up anymore." She shrugs and we order two margaritas.
Miranda's pov
*a few hours later*
Jason goes to the bathroom. I stare out at the beach, on my fourth margarita. A guy sits beside me but is gone in seconds. I love this life and I'm glad Jason saved me from my old life. I take a sip. I wonder what's taking Jason. My head feels dizzy. Maybe I should stop drinking.
Jason's pov
A few fans stop me. As I'm walking back to the bar, my jaw drops in shock. Miranda's unconscious and some guy is dragging her away. "Hey get your hands off my girlfriend!" I scream, running over. He pulls out a gun though. "Leave her alone!" He shakes his head. "Her daddy has been worried sick!" No!! Her dad is behind this!! He must have drugged her! There's nothing I can do. He takes her away still pointing the gun at me!

The dizziness clears and I gasp in surprise. "What the?!" I'm back in my room at home! "W-Where's Jason?" I whimper. "You aren't going back to him." My head snaps around. Dad. "You can't stop me! I'm an adult!" I cry, standing up dizzily. "He's not right for you." He says. "Oh what would you know?!" I shout furious. He closes and locks my door. I try hard to open it but I can't. I walk over to my two story window. Tears fill my eyes. "Oh Jason, where are you." I whimper, crying softly.
Jason's pov
I wait for night fall and sneak over to her window. "Miranda!" I call in a whisper. She was already by the window. She smiles and wipes her eyes. "What do we do?!" "I'm coming up there." I put a ladder to her window and climb up. "Oh you came back for me!" She cries, hugging me. "Of course baby girl, I love you." I gasp, kissing her passionately, my hand against her cheek. "What are we gonna do about my dad, he locked the door." "I just wanna run away with you." I mumble, sighing. I glance down at the ground. I know what I can do. I lace my fingers with hers. "I promise you baby girl, I will be back. I just need some help." Tears slip down her cheeks. "I'll be back tomorrow night okay, you have to trust me on this." "I do Jay, I love you." She kisses me this time and I grasp the window sill to keep from falling. "I love you too." I whisper, her lips still against mine.
Miranda's pov
I hold his hands. "This ladder ain't very steady." He says. I wave him up and he climbs through the window. I kiss him again, his arms instantly wrap around my waist. He backs up against the wall as we make out. His hands moved to my hair. "Make love to me." I whisper. "It would be my pleasure." He says, softly, kissing down my neck. My eyes go wide, hearing footsteps outside my door. He heard it too. "Hide." I gasp, pushing him into the closet. My dad swings the door open. "What's going on here? I heard voices!" He shouts angrily. I was singing away in a manger." I lie. I cringe realizing that's one of the ten commandments. I'm sorry.
Jason's pov
"Why can't you let me be happy with the man I love?!" I hear her scream. "Because he won't treat you right!" Her dad shouts angering me. "Yes he will. He does! He treated me better in one month then that bully you set me up with did in two years!" What? "He's nothing but a hood rat! He will never be good enough for you!" Screw him. I open the door and he jumps back shocked. "What.... What are you doing here?!" I hold her hand confidently. "Baby girl, I have something to give to you."
Miranda's pov
I'm a little confused. He pulls out a diamond necklace. "My father gave this to my mother when he knew he was in love with her. And now I give it to you. It's a promise. I promise you I'll always love you and I'll always be truthful. I'll never stop loving you.... Even.... Even if..... We can't..... Be together. But I promise you one day..... When he finally lets you go, I'll be waiting and I'll be ready to be yours." He puts it around my neck. Tears fill my eyes. "B-But Jason, don't go!" "I don't want to baby but I have to. You'll always be the girl that saved this poor farm boy. I never woulda found my way to church without you. You saved me. And I love you baby girl." He kisses me, a hand against my cheek.
Jason's pov
If this doesn't convince him, I don't know what will. I walk to the window. "Don't forget me, baby girl. I know I'll never forget you." "Jay, don't go!" She cries, running forward but her dad stops her. I turn back around, tears glistening in my eyes too. "I'm sorry darlin', but...... I can't..... There's nothing I can do. He'll never let me be with you." I turn to leave but he stops me this time. "Jason, wait." I smile. "Listen to your girlfriend. Don't go." I hear her gasp in surprise. "You mean it daddy?!" "Yes sweetheart and I'm sorry." He hugs her and I turn back around. She runs into my arms and kisses me. I lose my balance and fall backward. My eyes go wide when I feel the cold of the window sill. "Jason!" She cries.
Miranda's pov
I grab his arm too late. It slips from my grasp and he falls out the window. "Jason?!!" I scream. He doesn't move. I run passed dad and out the door. He's unconscious. "No! Jason! Please wake up!" I scream, shocked. He blinks a few times. "Well that certainly hurt." He mumbles, rubbing his head. "You okay?!" I cry. He smiles and sits up wincing in pain. "Sweet girl, if I can walk away after getting shot in the back by a shotgun, I can survive falling out of a two story window." I wrap my arms around his neck. "Oh Jay I love you." "I love you too baby girl."
