SEVEN

- HALA'S POINT OF VIEW -

I just finished getting ready to go hang out with Sean. I checked the time and it was about 11:58 AM. Wow, I finished just on time. I heard the doorbell ring and with that, I grabbed my purse along with my phone and ran down the steps towards the door. I pulled the door open, revealing Sean looking as hot as ever.

"Hey." I greeted.

He smiled. "Hey, I hope you don't mind but Katrina and my best friend Jake is tagging along with us."

My smile faltered a little. Katrina's coming? Oh that's just fantastic; note the sarcasm there. "Alright."

I walked out the door and locked it behind me. Sean and I both walked over to his car and when I looked up, Katrina was sitting in the passengers seat. Great. I'm sitting in the backseat, I sighed. As I got closer to the car, I realized that she was smirking.

I glared at her. You have know idea how much I want to punch her right now. I climbed into the backseat with Jake, who in fact was very cute, and Sean climbed into the drivers seat.

Jake smiled at me. "Hey Hala, Sean's told me so much about you."

I smiled. "Hi." I said shyly.

"Hey Hoola!" Katrina said in her annoyingly high voice.

"It's Hala." I growled.

"Ignore her." I heard Jake whisper to me.

"Oops sorry, didn't mean to." She said.

I rolled my eyes and leaned back against the seat, waiting for this dreadful car ride to be over.

We walked into the mall. I looked over at Katrina and she was typing away on her phone. Seriously? Did she not acknowledge the fact that her boyfriend was standing right next to her? I rolled my eyes and we all began to walk around.

"So I was thinking we could go to Aritzia first." Katrina said looking up from her phone. I rolled my eyes. I knew it. She would want to go to the most expensive stores.

"Anywhere you want." Sean said, wrapping his arm around her shoulder and giving her a kiss on the cheek. I wish that was me. The one that he would wrap his arm around. The one he would kiss. I was so dazed looking at him, at how happy he is and how much he loved her. Her on the other hand doesn't even care.

"Hello, Hala!" Jake said.

"W-what?" I asked, snapping out of my thoughts.

"The store is that way." He said, chuckling and pointing his finger to the store. I saw that Sean and Katrina had already walked into the store.

"Why does he have to like, her?" I mumbled to myself, but didn't realize that Jake was standing right next to me.

"He doesn't realize how beautiful you are." Jake said simply.

I jumped in surprise and looked up at him. "Haha, yeah. I can't compare with that." I said, feeling my cheeks heat up.

"Uh yes you can. I may not know you that well, but I know you're amazing Hala. Sean is just too blind to see it."

"I suppose..." I mumbled. We walked into the store. It practically looked more pink than it did with other colors.

"You have got to be kidding me." I mumbled loud enough for Jake to hear. I turned and looked at him, he looked like he was about to be sick. I laughed.

"My eyes burn!" He said, rubbing his eyes. I laughed even harder. Sean then turned and gave me and Jake a look. A look that, I think was, jealousy? Nah that couldn't be right.

After all the stores we went to, we decided to go sit and talk. Oh and all the stores we went to, were the ones KATRINA chose. Sean basically only talked to Katrina and Jake and I were just on our own. Not that it was a problem, Jake was really cool. I think he was a great friend. We got a table next to the mall fountain. Jake pulled out a chair for me and I thanked him.

"So, do you guys want any smoothies?" Sean offered. I smiled and nodded.

"Alright, Jake come with me?" He asked.

Jake nodded and went off with Sean. Oh please don't leave me here. Now it was just me and HER. No let me rephrase that...It was just me and IT.

"So Hala do you have a boyfriend?"

"Uh, no.." I mumbled.

"Not a surprise." She said, flipping her blonde hair.

"Excuse me?"

"Well, a girl like you? I'm honestly not surprised." She said, sounding like she was 'stating the obvious.'

"What do you mean a girl like me?" I asked, raising my voice a little. What is this bitch talking about?!

"Guys are only intrested in girls who are, let's just say, smart and pretty."

She did not just say that. I stood up.

"Oh, so not many guys are attracted to you then!" I said angrily.

She then stood up. "What did you just say to me?!?!"

"You heard me!"

"Whatever, I have Sean! And you? You're nothing."

That's when I lost it. "You know what? You don't even love Sean! You're nothing but a spoiled, stuck up, phone texting, skin showing, fake bitch!"

People began to stare and that's when she came and attacked me. I kept defending myself. No way was I gonna let this brat treat me like this! Then all of a sudden we both fell right into the fountain. The god damn fountain. She kept coming at me but I pushed her off. I stood up and looked at myself. I looked horrifying. Same for Katrina. I looked up and noticed that Sean and Jake coming towards us. This can't be happening.

"What the hell happened?!?!" Sean asked, with a shocked expression. I couldn't speak, I felt like my lips were sewed shut.

"She pushed me in the fountain Sean!" Katrina said. WHAT.

"What? Hala what the hell is wrong with you?!" He said, helping Katrina out. Jake just stood there with an unknown look.

"I didn't do it!" I said, trying to hold my my tears.

"Oh sure! How could you?! Especially to my girlfriend!" He said. I couldn't hold the tears anymore.

"You believe her? The girl who never listens to what you have to say? The girl who takes advantage of you? The girl who texts all the time and doesn't acknowledge the fact that you're standing next to her? You tell me things and I listen! And when you tell her things she doesn't bother! Even when you're in bad moods, who's there to cheer you up? Me, not her! Do you not even care?!" Tears were streaming down my face.

And that's when he said it. The sentence that literally crushed me.

"I don't care about you! I care about her!"

At that moment, my heart shattered. That's when Sean realized what he had said and covered his mouth in shock. Jake stood there in shock.

"Hala, I didn't me-" He said, calmly but I cut him off.

"Don't, just don't" I said before turning around and beginning to run. I started to cry. I didn't know where I was going but I heard Jake call after me but I just kept running.

My heart was broken.

So I found the fountain fight idea from another fan fiction I've read a while ago. I can't remember the name but I thought it was a perfect idea to fit in this scene. :) But I'm sorry that it was short :( Hope you liked it :) Vote & Comment?
