Hermione
The Next DayI walked briskly to potions class, knowing my partner was Draco. I sat down, and he slid beside me.
"Hey beautiful" he said. I smiled, trying to forget Ron. Slughorn closed the door and the class quieted.
"Today" he began. "Today we have a new student" Whispers broke out across the room. Hogwarts never gets new students unless they are first years. "Her name is Emma Le-" his face went white as he stared down at the piece of parchment, like he couldn't believe what he was reading.
"Her name is Emma" he said, clearing his throat. He looked around the room, concerned. I furrowed my brow. What could be so wrong with her last name? Unless it was Voldemort, it couldn't be that bad.
I turned to Draco to say something, but his face was pale white, and he was gripped he edge of the table. He looked angry and confused and frustrated all at once.
I lightly touched his shoulder. "Draco? what's wrong?" He turned to me, and mouthed "my sister" now I was truly confused.
"You don't have a sister!" I exclaimed quietly. "Well apparently my father was having an affair with Bellatrix Lestrange and she was the result" he whispered.
I leaned back in my seat, baffled. That couldn't be! As I was left to ponder the situation, Emma herself burst in.
Now I had no doubt about it.Her twisty wild curls and her slightly deranged expression made me want to vomit. I was reminded of the torture...
But her hair was pure white, like Draco's, and her eyes had an uncanny resemblance. Her features were slightly Malfoy, but mostly Lestrange. I felt sickened. This was the love child of two monsters.
Her Slytherin robes were ripped at the bottoms and accented by sliver broaches and metallic bows. She waved to us with so much sarcasm it was rolling off her.
I smiled sarcastically back, and Draco glared. She laughed and snatched a seat to sit by a Slytherin who looked terrified to be sitting next to her.
I guess I'm not the only one who noticed the resemblance.
