Hermione POV
I sprang out of bed and leaped to my dresser, pulling out fresh robes. I darted down to breakfast. I sat next to Ginny. I pushed the note that was still in my hands to my pocket.
I stared at the food and took a bite of the eggs. Neville plopped down in front of me. " Hello, Did Draco hither you last night" he growled.
I blushed thickly. "Urm... N-No... No! H-He didn't. And why do you ask Longbottom?" I said, stuttering.
Neville had a suspicious glare set onto his face. "Because Draco was looking for you last night. He asked where you were by the Fat Lady"
I mentally sighed. That's why he was at the Gryffindor common room last night..... Why was he looking for me?
My heart raced and my head pounded. I felt full suddenly, and too anxious to speak.
I willed words to surface. "I, uh, gotta g-go" I stumbled and tripped over the words that tumbled out of my mouth, before grabbing my bag and hopping out of the great hall.
As I walked swiftly out the door, I looses the tie. It felt awfully hot in here. I wiped sweat off my brow.
I dug deep into my pockets (of witch I had cast a expanding charm on) trying to find the Marauder's Map I had thrown into them.
I looked down at my feet as I walked, still rustling in my pockets for the old parchment. As I hummed nervously, I didn't notice the person that I slammed into.
We knocked heads and fell back onto our backs. I groaned in pain and sat up, clutching my head.
"Ouch! Watch where you are going you little-" The person I had slammed into looked up and saw me, mirroring my actions of rubbing my bruised temple.
Steel grey eyes met deep brown eyes and the blood floated to my checks.
"Draco! I am sorry I- Draco. We need to talk. I can't wait for breakfast to be over. I need to talk now. Please Draco"
I said, keeping my gaze stern.
He nodded and stood up. He reached out his hand and my eyes Locked on it.
It was pale and shaky. I reached my hand out and took it. Even though my clammy hands were cold too, it felt so warm, like a bolt of electricity.
Suddenly, distant footsteps sounded and I accidentally pulled Draco down.
Draco sprang to his feet and hid behind a curtain. The footsteps were Blaise's. He stood at a good distance and pointed his wand at me, smirking.
"Hello Mudblood" he said. I scrambled for my own wand. Just before my fingers caught it, he whispered
"Pretrificus Totalus"
I stood stunned not able to move. My eyes burned, and my hands felt like ice.
I watched him laugh and step over me.
I wanted to scream. This was the worst feeling in the world. My cheeks burned and my eyes watered. My arms froze and my hands were ice. My legs Itched to move.
Draco sprang out from behind the curtain. He dropped to the ground and muttered the counter-curse.
I curled up and blinked like crazy. I rubbed my hands together to warm them. I stood up on my wobbly legs.
I hugged Draco. My head rested perfectly on his shoulder. He stood stunned before grabbing me and tugging me to the Room of Requirement"
