Hermione 3rd POV
The next dayHermione sat down at the table and swept the dust of her robes. "Are you alright Hermione?" Luna asked, her ears occupied with tiny carrots for earrings. "What? Yes, yes, of course" Hermione replied.
Luna looked up at the ceiling. "It's nearly mail time" She said in her unusually calm way. Hermione nodded and started to eat the hot bacon that burned her fingers and coated them in grease.
A snowy white owl flew overhead, stopping to land next to her. "Hedwig!!"she said, hugging the irritated owl. The feathers were ruffled and the package had a leaf stick in the side.
She gave Hedwig some bacon, which the owl gladly accepted, and proceeded to open her package.
Inside was a letter and a big heart. the letter read,Hermione,
I could never miss someone so much
I never knew the feeling of heartache
Until you left
Everyday I think of you
Images float through my head
Though other girls pass by,
Lovely girls, very pretty,
I can only think of you
I hope you miss me as well,
But I hope it doesn't hurtLove always,
RonThe heart shaped box was full of chocolate cauldrons. Hermione's favorite filling too.
She felt so guilty. When she read the note, she had no feeling. No reconnection. No... love.
She felt awful. Like she was going to throw up. "Luna? Here. I... I have an allergy" She said, pushing the chocolate towards her blonde friend.
Luna thanked her profusely and took them out, sniffed them, and put them back in. "The nargles will share with me"
Hermione ran from the table, towards the outside grounds. She had her nah clutched in her hand, smooth leather against her ridged nails.
She wiped tears away as she cried silently, her footsteps echoing off the empty halls.
Her hand reached up to wipe her face and she clashed into someone. "Oi! Watch where your..." She cried, looking up and seeing A pale face.
"Draco, I.." She started. "Hermione, no. Come with me... I want to talk" He said, grabbing her hand and dragging her off.
His hand was cold, but also warm. She felt as if lightning had struck her. her heart was warm, and her head seemed clouded, like her common sense had abandoned her. Her stomach fluttered like a butterfly.
He drug her into the room of requirement. The room was different, filled with all sorts of comfortable couches.
She sat down on a blue one and he sat down on the green one across from her.
"So, I.. Anything new?" She asked, brushing away a stray curl. Draco looked at her like she had grew horns.
"Anything new? Really? We both know what's going on. But.. just to clarify" Draco said hastily.
"I fancy you Draco. A lot. It's confusing because... I used to love Ron. We were going to get married, have kids.. but now I just can't see it" Hermione said, looking down and lowering her voice so even Draco had to strain his ears to hear.
"I fancy you Hermione. In the same way. Me and Anastasia Greengrass have had an arranged married since we were eight. But I can only see my future with you in it"
"So what are we going to do?" They said together.
