Draco
3rd person
Night beforeDraco started at Blaise, blushing.
"Zabini! I- Five points from Slytherin for being out of bed past curfew. On Dumbledoor's orders, I was checking the halls" I lied, twisting my fingers and pointed on a mending expression.
Blaise looked stunned. He backed away. "Woah! Draco! I never knew you to take away from your own house" and with that, he started down the hall.
As soon as Blaise disappeared from sight, Draco let out a long breath and slumped against the wall.
He waited a few dull minuets before following Blaise and nearly falling asleep in the halls. He got into his private dormitory and slumped on his Slytherin Pride bed.
This made him think of his father and mother. How twisted and wrong they would find it, if they weren't in Azkaban.
I live by myself now, he thought, I follow my own interests and do whatever I want.
He was very glum about the whole thing, but fell asleep fast. He didn't want to stay up all night thinking about it.
He woke up in the morning still thinking about it. Hermione was the first thing on his mind. Her sweet curls, her deep brown eyes, her smile.
He quickly got dressed and hurried to the Great Hall. He straightened his green and silver tie as he stepped in the giant room.
The fake sun beat down on Draco's forehead, and he caught paper fans waving around the room, cooling of sweat. The hall was out of control again.
Groaning, the heat finally got to him.
He rushed over to Snape, tending to his once again bleeding neck wounds. Dumbledoor sat close by, still tending his broken arm from two years ago. It had never healed since Snape fake killed him and Dumbledoor jumped out the window.
"Professor! This heat is unbearable. What are we going to do?" Draco whined. Patting his Sara with a wet towel, Severus looked at Draco with a piercing glare.
"Mr.Malfoy, if you are proposing you can't handle this little problem I suggest you leave Now, if you will excuse me, I am going to attend to more pressing matters" Snape growled.
Draco wiped his brow and walked to the Slytherin table. As he sat down next to Blaise, the table fell silent and the whispering started.
He listened closely and caught a few phrases. "Gryffindor Common Room...." "Blaise swore that...." "The Slytherin Prince fancies a Gryffindor Girlfriend?"
Draco narrowed his eyes. "Hey you! I was not visiting a girlfriend! If you must know I was...." He had the whole table's attention. Everyone of the Slytherins were staring. Draco racked his brain for a good lie.
"I was trying to get Neville back for being a big Git about being head-boy, so I killed his toad while he was sleeping. I would dare even looking at a Gryffindor Girl unless I was putting her in her place!" He lied smoothly.
The table looked puzzled, but then believed him and continued discussing what-not.
He sighed with relief and gulped down his drink. The butterflies filled his stomach with anticipation and anxiety, leaving no room for food.
Looking for an excuse, he said to Blaise "I'm going to go see if Neville got his surprise" and left with haste to the room of requirement.
