"Wait, what do you mean?" I asked, my tone louder.
"Yeah. She heard that he beat some kid up or something. Then he told off a teacher, and I heard he got into doing drugs." She repeated.
"But.. That can't be true.. It can't. He's just so nice and caring... And he's so cute! You have to admit."
"Not according to what she heard. That's why he moved to our school because he got kicked out or something! How messed up is that?!" Kylie replied, ignoring the positive traits that I listed.
"Where did she hear it though?!"
"Well, from what I know, she heard him talking on the phone or something." She explained.
"Oh." I whispered.
"So I guess that means you're gonna give up on him?" She said smiling.
"I can't." I sighed.
"Your reputation is at stake here, Brooke. You realize what would happen if people found out about you liking some druggie, short tempered guy?" She exclaimed.
"But something in me makes me not even care about that." I replied in disappoint.
"Oh.." She replied, "well I guess.. I don't know.."
"Hey, I'm gonna go. I'll talk to you tomorrow." I half smiled as I ended the FaceTime call.
I slammed my body onto my bed, causing it to make the pillows shift a bit. I grabbed the nearest pillow and put it over my face, screaming into it.
"Are you okay?" A voice asked from outside my window.
I laid on my bed for a few minutes contemplating whether to get up and talk to him, or ignore him.
"Brooke?" He said a bit louder.
"I'm good." I yelled from underneath my pillow.
"Are you sure..?"
"I'm fine!" I screamed once again.
"Brooke! Are you okay?" My mom asked as she knocked on my door.
"I'm good mom. Just talking to Kylie!" I lied as I removed the pillow and sat up.
"Okay, just checking..." She said as she walked away from the door.
"What's wrong?" Tony asked.
I made my way to the window, resting my chin on my hands and my elbows on the window pane.
"Nothing. I should be asking you that question." I replied.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"Well, I saw you slam yourself into your room. Are you okay?"
"I'm good. Just some people following me around getting into my private business.." He sighed, "like your one friend."
I stopped and stared at him with wide eyes.
"So I guess you know what happened in my old school, huh?" He sighed.
"Well, sorta." I whispered.
"I guess that means you don't want someone like me hanging around someone like you." He said clearing his throat.
"I never said that. Maybe I like your company."
"You don't need to spare my feelings," he smiled as he fixed his hair, "I understand."
"No Tony, it's okay. Really." I smiled.
A big smiled plastered onto his face as he leaned more out of his window.
"And just so you know, I heard your conversation with your friend." He laughed, "and I think you're quite cute too."
