<Dylan's POV>
It's been about two months since I drove back to Louisiana. Supposedly Stephanie came back right behind me and is staying at Connors apartment. Connor is really the only one back home that will actually speak to her.
"Daddy!!" I hear Addie scream from her crib.
I walk into her room and see her standing up in her crib with her eyes closed.
"Daddyyyyy!" She screams louder.
"Baby baby I'm here" I chuckle and she opens her eyes smiling widely.
"Up from your nap so soon?" I smirk looking down at her resting my hands on my hips. "I guess I'll just leave and let you sleep longer" I start to walk out.
I heard her screaming and start crying "DADDYYY NO!!!!" She screams as loud as I can.
"Princess I was just kidding" I laugh walking back in. I pick her up and swipe my thumb over her rosy cheeks wiping away the stray tears. She smiles sweetly at me and I kiss her nose.
"Do you want a snack sweetheart?" I ask her as I place her on my hip carrying her out and down the stairs to the kitchen.
"Yes daddy" she smiles happily. I walk into the kitchen and open the pantry. I grab a granola bar and hold it in front of her. She shakes her head no. I then grab some care bear fruit snacks and once again she shakes her head no.
"Well baby what do you want then?" I ask smiling a bit amused.
She taps her chin like she's thinking "ICECREAM!" She squeals.
"Sweetheart no" I say a bit sternly.
"Please daddy pretty please" she pleads
"Addie no you may not" I respond once again.
"Daddyyyy pleaseeeee with a cherry on top?" She begs giving a pouty face.
"Addison I said no and that's final" I say a bit harshly making we cry. Ok before you get all mad remember I'm new to this dad thing.
"Addie come on please don't cry I'm sorry" I say softly rubbing her back soothingly. She lays her head on my shoulder and cries more.
"But I want icecream" she says getting angry and kicking her legs harshly.
"Addison stop or I will put you in timeout" I say raising my voice. She continues crying and kicking her legs starting to hurt me a bit.
I carry her over to a corner and set we down. "Addison Marie Dauzat you are in timeout you need to sit still for five minutes." She throws out thrashing her body around and kicking and screaming moving out of the corner.
"Addison!" I shout loudly grabbing her and spanking her making her put we hands over her rear end and sits down in the corner sniffling.
"Five minutes of time out missy" I say walking to the pantry and getting myself a snack.
I look over to see that Addie got out of timeout and went upstairs. I put my granola bar down and walk upstairs to see her playing with her new dollies and studies.
"Addison you have been a very bad girl." I scold her and set her in her crib and she sticks her bottom lip out at me.
"I have no other choice than to take away all of your toys" I say.
"Dada no" her eyes start to brim with tears again. I walk out to get some boxes and when I come back I start to pack up some of her toys.
"Dada" I hear her crying I decide to leave a few dollies out for her to play with.
"Now Addison you have 3 dollies left to play with. When you can be a very good girl I will give you more of your toys back. Got it?" I say to her and she nods her head understanding.
She looks down at her hands and says sadly "I'm sowwy daddy" she says
"Baby come here" I say picking her up and placing her on my hip.
"You have to listen to daddy. There's reasons why I say no to you" I say softer than before. She nods her head once again looking up at me giving me a kiss on the cheek.
I'm walking back into the kitchen when my phone starts to vibrate in my pocket. I look at the caller id and guess who it is. Stephanie.
Like I have done the past six times she called today I ignored it.
I grab some fruit snacks for Addie and hand them to her.
"Do you want to watch cartoons?" I ask her. A huge grin comes across her face as she nods her head yes excitedly.
I chuckle and carry her into the Livingroom. I set her down on the couch and put on Sophia the First.
After a few minutes my phone starts to buzz. I look at the caller id and see that it's Connor. I answer the call.
"Hey man what's up?" I say
"Dylan I really need to talk to you" I hear Stephanie say quietly on the other end.
I huff frustrated and walking into the other room.
"What?" I say a bit harshly
"Dylan look I'm begging you please don't take Addie away from me. She's all that I have left" she pleads and I can hear her crying.
"Well you should have thought about that before you left me with nothing but an empty house to come home to every single dreadful day." I say raising my voice angrily.
"So what Dylan are you just going to punish me forever?" She asks starting to get angry as well.
"You know what steph no I'm not but you deserve to know how I felt for 2 almost 3 years coming home every day after work to nothing!" I spit at her coldly and hangup.
"Daddy..." I hear a little voice behind me. I turn around and see tears brimming in her eyes. "Who was that?" She asks quietly.
"It was just mommy baby" I say crouching down to eye level to her.
"Mommy left you all alone in this big house?" She asks looking down and sticking her bottom lip out.
"Yes baby she did and took you with her." I say thinking back to the day we found out she went missing.
"Daddy I'll never leave you ever again" she says crying now as she wraps her tiny little arms around my neck in a hug.
"I love you princess very very much" I whisper crying now as well. I look at her with a smile and kiss her forehead.
"I love you too daddy" she smiles back at me.
