<Stephanie's POV>
It's been two weeks since I've moved back in with Dylan. We haven't talked much and if we do we fight. It pretty much sucks. I've been trying so hard to get along with him for Addie's sake but he just isn't having it.
I walked downstairs from the bedroom already seeing that Dylan wasn't in bed anymore and I heard giggling coming from kitchen. I smelled the lingering smell of pancakes.
I walked into the kitchen to find Dylan making pancakes and Addison sitting next to him on the counter laughing from him making silly faces at her.
When she sees me she stops laughing and just stares at me.
" hey baby. Did you sleep good?" I smile at her. I didn't get a response she just turned her head away refusing to look at me. "Great thanks you turned my own daughter on me also" I roll my eyes.
"I did nothing except tell her the truth about you and what you did" he said harshly.
"I have apologized and beat myself down for what I did every minute of every day since I got back" I say tears welling up in my eyes.
"And I beat myself down for 3 years for letting you go for not being able to find you!" He raises his voice at me and storms out and to our bedroom slamming the door shut.
I sigh and follow him upstairs quitley walking to find him sitting on the bed crying.
"Dylan I'm really sorry and I will have that regret with me for the rest of my life. I have loved you since that day at school you kissed me. You made me feel like I had someone in my life who truly loves me and who I could trust. I will always love you and only you" I say sitting down next to him.
He looks up at me with a small smile. "That's all I've wanted to hear from you for the past three years" he whispers and then kisses me passionately on the lips. "I love you so much" he whispers connecting our foreheads.
After about a minute we hear Addison's feet pitter patter up the stairs and to the bedroom. She slowly opens the door and we smile at her as jumps onto the bed and in our arms.
"Well I guess that means we have to go out to celebrate" Dylan says smiling brightly.
"Of course we do but where would we go? What do you think sweet pea?" I look over at Addison.
"Hmmm" she hums tapping her chin as she thinks. Me ad Dylan laugh at her cuteness.
"Ooohhhh PIZZA!" She squeals excitedly.
Dylan chuckles "okay anything for you princess" he smiles kissing her all over her face sending her in a fit of giggles.
"D-da-daddy stop" she squeals still laughing trying to wiggle from under him. He gets up laughing.
"Come on princess you want to ride on my shoulders?" Dylan ask her smiling as she stands up on the bed.
"Yes yes yes yes" she says excitedly as she climbs onto his shoulders.
He grabs my hand and intertwined our fingers and kisses my knuckles. I smile up at home as we make our way to the pizza place since it isn't very far from the house.
As we are walking a little boy around 8 or 9 bumps into Dylan. He looks up at Dylan frightened. "I-I'm so s-so-sorry sir" he stutters out beginning to cry.
I can feel my heart breaking looking at this child. He's so frightened by Dylan just because he bumped into him. He has bruises all over him. Poor kid.
"Hey sweetie it's quite alright" I say softly smiling and crouching down to his level. "Where are your parents?" I ask him curiously.
"I don't have any miss but I really need to go in sorry" he says quickly running off. He was holding a bag and a slip of paper fell out.
I picked it up to look at it. It was a picture of him and his parents I'm assuming. On the back it has a note from the parents:
Dear Cory,
We are both sorry we can't be there for you right now. We had to go away for a while. We are leaving you at Mr. And Mrs. Monrose orphanage. We both love you very very much and hope to see you in heaven one day.
"Look at this..." I say showing Dylan the note. He reads it quickly and looks back at me. "He was soooo cute and sweet" I say in a begging tone.
"What? You want to keep him?" Dylan asks surprised.
"Well yes it's so sad and Addie could use an older brother to look after her" I argue.
"That's my job baby" he says calmly
"Yea but you won't always be here for her" I say softly.
He exhales "we can talk about it later. Ok?" He says.
"Yayy ok" I smile kissing his lips.
"Ewwwwwwwww" we hear Addie scream covering her eyes. We both laugh as we walk into the restaurant.
We order and eat then we head home after everyone finishes eating.
<Cory's POV>
I had gone to the library to ready some books before curfew to get some time away from the orphanage. Boy do I hate that place. I have lived there since I was 5. All the guys get angry because the girl all hit on me and not them so they all hit me and bully me.
Well anyways back to my story. I was out at the library until it was 5 minutes before curfew. I started to run out of the library and down the street towards the orphanage until I ran into this man. He for some reason looked angry or maybe confused. The lady bent down to me and was being super sweet and that it was alright and just an accident that I ran into the man. I saw the little girl on his shoulders and I suddenly felt lonely. I have absolutely no one in this world with me.
I ran upstairs to my room thankfully making curfew. I went to grab my book out of my small bag and didn't feel the picture of my parents anywhere. I started to panic and dumped everything out and searched through my book.
