"I just want to be with you this new years," I say, arms wrapped around Trey's waist.

"What we gone do, just lay around here?" he asks with a smile on his lips.

"Yes, or more," I say, grinning up at him.

"You something else, you know that?" he asks.

"Coming from the guy who invented sex," I say, squeezing his butt cheek.

He scoops me up, wrapping my legs around his waist.

"Ohh, are we going to make super, duper, Jupiter love?" I say, cheesy as fuck.

He laughs and kisses me. I kiss back and lean up in his arms when my doorbell rings. I start to ignore it, but Trey puts me down, smiling.

"You not gone answer the door?" he asks.

I give him a long look and go open it.

"It's cold out there," Diamond says, barging in.

Even more shocking is that Drake is with her. I furrow my eyebrows.

"Happy New Year's!" she says, taking her wet shoes off.

  "Umm," I say. "What's up?"

Diamond looks between me and Trey questioningly.

"They're here to celebrate new Year's a little bit, babe," Trey says.

I side eye him. Why couldn't they say that?

"We said it'd just be us," I say.

"I know, but she's your family. They'll only be here for a little while," Trey says.

I glance at Drake standing with a bottle of Patron.

"Diamond, let me holla at you real quick," I say, rubbing my stomach and walking to the kitchen.

"You're huge!" she says, and I glare at her. "8 months,  right?"

I nod.

"What's up with you and Drake? I thought you was with buddy, blue eyes," I ask.

She looks down and back at me. "It's complicated. You know how that shit go," she says.

She trying to avoid it, but ima let her for now.

We go back to the room and more people start showing up with gifts. I look around, confused.

"Congratulations!" Melanie says. She is a photographer that I recently met.

  "Thanks?"

"On the pregnancy, silly. You act like you don't know this is your baby shower," she says.

I turn around and glare at Trey.

"Excuse me," I say, walking over to Trey.

"Why didn't you tell me this was my baby shower? "

"Because you would've said no. Don't worry, they know it's a girl"

I give him a shocked look.

   "Whatever. Who's all coming?"

"Few people you work with and everyone here."

I look around and see mostly unfamiliar faces. I barely know these people, not a friend here. I honestly don't have any. That's sad now that I think about it.

We play a bunch of games, baby bingo, forbidden words, guess my stomach size etc. It's actually fun.

"Gifts!" Somebody calls and that's where I go.
