"You're keeping me safe, but what about my family?"

Your siblings are with their own guards- my brothers. Your father knows how to take care of himself" Simon chuckled.

"What about my mother?"

Silence.

"Simon, what about my mother?"

Simon's face looked grim. He remained silent, and wouldn't look Sierra in the eye.

"Simon! Answer me!" Sierra was becoming worried.

Simon slowly looked Sierra in her eyes. He hesitated to speak, and when he did, his voice was very quiet and weak. He looked nervous.

"Sierra" He started. "Your mother...she..." He sighed.

"What Simon? My mother what?!" Sierra was terrified of what was going to come out of his mouth next.

"Sierra" Simon started again. "Your mother is dead."
-----------------------------------------------

Sierra couldn't breathe. She started shaking get head violently. No,no she can't be dead. NO! Not my mum! (A/N- fyi, I'm not british or anything, I just always say that. Lol sorry. Get back to reading or whatever)

"Sierra..." Simon began to speak in a small voice. "Are you okay?"

"No. My mum is dead. I will never be okay."

Sierra let out a sob, and buried her face into Simon's neck. As tears ran down her face, Simon rubbed her back and whispered comforting words in her ear.

"Simon?" Sierra called.

"Yes, love?" Simon answered.

"Will I ever see my family again?"

"Of course, love. I was going to tell you, you'll see them in a few days, actually."

"Good."

They remained in the same position for a few minutes, neither one wanting to move. It was obvious to Sierra that he liked her, and she was beginning to think that maybe she liked him back.

"Simon?"

"Yeah?"

"Will you stay with me tonight?"

Simon sighed. "I can't, love. I've told you that your family is in a tremendous amount of danger, and I have to be upstairs to keep an eye on things."

"Okay..."

Simon couldn't bear to see Sierra so sad. He'd been in love with her since day one, even if she hadn't even known of his existence.

"You know what, Sierra?"

Sierra looked up, her face full of hope.

"I know I said before that you can never leave this room, but I was thinking, maybe it would be easier to keep an eye on you and...well, you know...protect you...and..um..stuff, if you, um, maybe, stay in my room. I have a couch in there that i can sleep on...so, you, um, don't have to worry about that."

"Oh, Simon, thank you!" Sierra couldn't stand the thought of spending another night down here again.

***

Are you good for the night?"

Simon had tried his best to make her comfortable, given what she'd been sleeping on the few nights before.

"Yes, Simon, I'm fine" Sierra chuckled a reply. "I was fine five pillows and two blankets ago." She smiled at him.

"Goodnight, Simon"

"Goodnight, love."

Just as the two were beginning to drift off, a gunshot sounded, bringing both Simon and Sierra to their feet.

"Listen, Sierra, I want you to go into that closet, lock it from the inside, and don't open until I come to get you." Simon sounded panicked.

"O-okay" Sierra stuttered a reply as she did what she was told. Simon grabbed a handgun and left the room.

Sierra heard footsteps slowly approach the closet door, and it was then that she realized that she forgot to lock it.

Her breath hitched, and she screamed as the closet door opened to reveal---
