Mel's pov: "what are you doing?" Screams jaime. Shit. "N-Nothing I was j-just-" I said while jae interrupted me," you were just what?" that's when I got mad. Why should I be the bad one? I'm not the one with mysterious texts . "Why did nina text you?" I asked with a raised eyebrow. "What? Are u reading my texts now?" He responds with a less angered face more like a hurt face. "No I was just taking pictures and she texted!" I scrunched my eyes now looking confused. "Is there something your hiding from me? Is there a reason u don't want me to look at ur phone?" He then stays quiet. That's when a tear falls down my cheek. I look down at his phone and surprisingly find the message app at the top right corner. I showed him the phone with my right hand and tapped on the message app. "Stop! Hey hey hey babe. Um we can work this out-" he says with a now sad worried face. He holds his hand out and I give him a slight push and say, " No! Not this time" I look at the phone with fury and read in my head are u still busy cause my parents are coming home in 2 hours. My jaw drops and throw him the phone. I couldn't believe it. A tear drips from my eye to my cheek.
"How long" I say.
"No no it's not what it looks like a swear."
"THEN WHAT IS IT! It's not like she's waiting for you to play chess!"
"Please just hear me out!" He says while he grabs my arm.
"GET THE HELL AWAY FROM ME!" I say while pulling away from his hand. I start running towards his car. My eyes were swollen up and my mascara was everywhere. I check and make sure I have his keys. I jump the fence and get in the car. I don't have my license but who cares. I see his jar in the passenger seat and throw it out the window. How could I have let this happen to me. I'm so stupid. "Mel no!! Stop the car!" I hear. "Fuck you!!" I respond and drive out of the parking station while flipping him off. I turn on the radio to distract myself from crying. It doesn't work so I start singing along to the song.

I finally get home at like 5 pm and my mom and dad are still at work. I try to clean my makeup up in the car and stop crying because if my brother sees me then that's bad news. I enter the house and run straight to my room. I kind of felt bad for leaving him in the park alone but then I remember the text and get even more angry. *Knock knock* i hear my door being knocked. I quickly wipe my tears and say come in. It was my brother. Oh no. "Hey" he says. I smile avoiding eye contact.
"What's wrong??" He asks worried.
"Nothing" I answer, "just tired."
"Where's Jaime?" I flinched at his name. He doesn't like to call jae his real name. He doesn't consider them to be friends. I look at him and I just couldn't keep it in. I hugged him and started sobbing in his shoulder.
"It's all right" he says while clenching his jaw. He then stands up with a clenched jaw and his hands were in fists.
"Wait!" I yell. He turns at me before leaving and I say," don't do anything stupid."
