Meek pov:

I heard Nicki calling my name but I didn't want to turn around and look at her cause I might loose my temper and do something I might regret.

Meek- Onika I done told you not to remove that ring from your finger. You even promised to never take it off. Whether you were going to shower or whatever you FUCKING PROMISED! Didn't you?

I asked her not really expecting her to answer but she better say something that will make me relax cause my blood was boiling right now. There was silence in the room. I hadn't even noticed her sobs had died down. She better not have left this room when I was talking to her.

Meek- So now your death , huh?! I'm talking to myself right?!

Still, she said nothing.

Meek- Onika on my moms if I turn around and you are just standing there look....

I said turning around and what met my eyes made my heart stop. My chest felt constricted. My eyes grew as I saw her body lying motionless on the floor. I tried to move but somehow the connection between my brain and legs had been disconnected. After what felt like hours I ran to her and lifted her upper body.

Meek- Nicki. Onika please stop playing talk to me.

I said while shaking her but she still didn't respond. I felt her wrist for her heartbeat. I ain't no doctor but I could tell her heartbeat was very slow and I could barely feel it, it was very faint.

Meek- NA, NA GET MY CAR READY!

I said out loud hoping she would hear me. I carried her bridal style and headed to the car while calling Na's name. I swear these are the times she turned deaf. When I opened the door my mom jumped. I guess I took her out of her thoughts or something. I didn't have time for that though. I needed to make sure my baby was okay. I looked at her one more time and rushed down the steps to the car. I think my mom asked something but I didn't really hear what she said. Turns out Na heard me. She had turned on my car and reversed it already with the door open on the driveway. She saw me come out carrying Nicki and her mouthed dropped.

Na- MEEK WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO HER?!

Meek- Get in the car I'll explain on the way.

I told her as I put Nicki in the backseat.

Na- I swear Meek if you did something to hurt her over a stupid ring I am going to kill you with...

Meek- Na get in the fucking car I don't have time for all this!

She finally got in the backseat and held Nicki as I sped off towards the hospital. I explained to her what had happened and of course she was still at my throat.

Na- Meek you know damn well she has been going through a lot for the past couple of days. From her school project to you always being away then you made her go see her mother. She finds out her closest cousin is dead and his brother is being mistreated by his own parents. He doesn't want to live there any more because of the torture that innocent child is going through but you want the world to stop just because of a fucking ring. Now her life is in danger. Are you satisfied? Was it worth?

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. She has been going through all this and she can't tell me.

Meek- When did... How did you...

Na- She told me today when I was doing her hair after she came from the shower.

Meek- Why didn't she tell me anything.

Na- How would she when you were never there.

Those words alone tore me apart. I pulled up into the hospital and we took her in. Of course the stupid doctors didn't let me go to the room she was taken in. They don't fucking understand that she needs me. She needed me and I wasn't there for her. Na's words kept running through my mind "how would she when you were never there". I felt like an idiot. A loser. A loser who had his world and was slowly tearing it down. I didn't even realize my baby was hurting. She's going through too much and there I was making a fuss because of a ring! How stupid could I be? I'm such a jerk. If she wakes up, I promise if she wakes up I'm gon treat her right. I'll do everything in my ability to make her happy.
