Hunter and Chiron gave me a run down of every Greek God and explained how they all existed in this world. They also explained that gods would often come to earth and have affairs with mortals. The result of which was a demigod. They said I was one. The son of a god. They also told me that we were at a safe haven for demigods called Camp Half-Blood.
It was hard to swallow. But everything made sense. Things I been through throughout my life. And more recent events such as scars forming on my hand. I decided to roll with this as the truth until I decided otherwise.
I looked at my father and Chiron, both wearing orange camp shirts. "Okay. So if this is true. How do you two know about it? And who is my father?"
Chiron and Hunter looked at each other. Hunter looked back at me and spoke. "Well, Chiron is the activities director here, he has been for thousands of years."
I began to form a question about that but Hunter silenced me. " Chiron is an immortal trainer of heroes, I'll explain that later. I on the other hand have some experience with the mythological world that isn't important right now. As for your father, we don't know."
"Okay. So what now."
Chiron rolled forward. "Well, I have someone coming to show you around camp and take you to get settled in cabin eleven."
"What's cabin eleven?"
"Hermes. It's were you'll be until your fathers identity is determined, which shouldn't be long."
"What about my dad?"
"Well," he looked over at him, "Hunter. There is a spot open for sword training. Our old trainer, Percy, moved to California."
"Sure. I could fill in."
"Would you like to stay here or would you prefer your cabin."
"Thanks for the offer but, I'll stay in my cabin for now." He grabbed his suitcase and walked out the door toward the cabins. I didn't think to ask him what his cabin was. He led me to believe he wasn't a demigod. So what was his connection?
