Emmett POV

I feel Amy take her last breath as I'm kissing her and I immediately pull back.

"No." I whisper in shock.  "Please, come back."  Connor is staring at her in shock as well and I see that he's been crying.  She can't be gone.  Her face is peaceful, almost as if she's sleeping.  I move a strand of hair out of her face.  I hear a sound from across the room and remember Alex.  I have him pinned against the wall in a second.  "You did this to her." I growl.  "You killed her."

"Technically, you did."  He has a smug look on his face.

     "Bring her back."

"How do you expect me to do that?"

"They did it for you!" I remind him, remembering what Amy had told me.  "Now do it for her or I swear to God, I'll make you wish you were dead."  He doesn't say anything.   "Connor!"  He's still holding Amy's hand and staring at her body, but looks up at me when I yell his name.  "Can you hold him?"  He nods.  I release Alex, but he still remains pinned to the wall by his powers.  I go to the computer and start looking through files, trying to find something on Alex.  Finally, I find his picture.  In his file, it says that he was given the serum that gave him his powers because of his connection with Amy.  I find the name of the serum: GN- 6409.  I search through the refrigerator and finally find a test tube labelled with the name.  I quickly empty its contents into a syringe and run over to where Amy and Connor still are.  I inject her with the serum and stare at her, anxiously waiting.  Finally, her chest rises and falls.  I breath a sigh of relief.

"Can you heal her now?" I ask Connor.

"I can try." He says, putting his hand on her wound again.  He concentrates and I see the wound slowly become smaller and smaller until it disappears.  Then, Amy's eyes flutter open.  I gasp, because a minute ago I had thought I would never see her blue eyes again.

"Emmet?" she croaks.  "Connor?  What happened?"  I don't answer, but just take her into my arms, kissing the top of her head a few times.

"Thank god." I whisper.  "You're okay.  You're okay."  I think I'm just trying to reassure myself.

"I'm okay." She hugs me back.  "I'm here.  I'm not going anywhere."  She pulls back from our hug, and then hugs Connor tightly.  He hugs her back, and I smile.  I'm glad she has family now.

"I'm so glad you're okay." he whispers.  I can see now how much he cares about her, even though he just met her today.  She releases him.

"Can we go home now?" she asks.  "I think I need a nap."  I laugh.

"I think we can do that."
