Johnson and Kayla are coming up to Cali today, and I'm so excited. I haven't seen them in forever! I'm currently in the studio going over Bassline one more time. We think it's ready. Scratch that. We know it's ready. I am so excited to have my first song. I don't care if I have a small part. I'm in a song with people that I love!

Kayla and Jack are going to be in the Baseline music video. Gilinsky and Madison have other plans ;). Myles and I are currently waiting at the house for my best friend. I have so many things to tell him and Kayla. I don't even know where to start.

I guess we can start with the fact that I just got this  message

Unknown number: do you think your mother would approve of you throwing away college for music

Unknown number: you can't even sing

Unknown number: you are such a whore. You have Myles and Johnson

Great.

"Okay. Do you guys remember the formation?" the director asks.

We all nod our heads.

"Okay Ashlynn. We need you to change your clothes. And put on more makeup," the director continues.

Myles asks him why, and the director says it's because I'm not attractive enough for our male viewers.

"What the hell," I shout. "Do you KNOW what I've been through? Do you KNOW how sexist that is? I'm here because of my voice. My ugly face and style have gotten me this far," I reply angrily.

"But you won't get farther than this if you don't listen. Hollywood doesn't like ugly girls. Maybe we can Photoshop a thinner body," he says.

I don't even know how to respond. Is this what being famous is like?

"Okay Jason. Look at my arms," I say while rolling up my sleeves. "It is people like you who caused these scars on my body. YOU! Do you know how many girls cry at night because they can't fit these images of perfection? They aren't even realistic because it's all Photoshop. I am an artist. I'm here for my voice. I am here because I'm a human with a message to share. Women aren't just objects. I refuse to promote the messages that cause so many girls pain. And don't you even dare say anything to Myles, Jack, or Kalin because they are beautiful boys with beautiful voices. They are normal. They are real, and if you want to be fake, then you can work with someone else who will put up with your bullshit," I say before stepping off the set.

As I walk away, I feel someone grab my hand.

"You are brave," Johnson says before hugging me. Suddenly everyone smuggles me with a group hug, and I smile.

The director apologized and agreed to do things on my terms. I'm not sure if I got through to him. I think he just wanted money. Either way, we finished filming and the video should be ready by the end of the week.

Myles went out with Kalin, so it's just Johnson, Kayla, and I.

" So, tell me what I missed. Are you two official yet," I ask them.

Kayla nods and Johnson hugs her while kissing the side of her head.

"I still can't believe it. Is dating your fan like a new trend?" Kayla asks.

"Kalin is next," Johnson jokes. We all know that Kalin won't settle down any time soon.

" Speaking of fans, isn't there something you need to explain to us? Your innocence is gone," Johnson jokes.

I forgot that I told him about what happened with me and Myles on prom night.

"I don't kiss and tell," I joke.

"No, tell us the details," Kayla pleads.

I sigh and agree.

"So, how did it happen," Johnson asks as if he is a 12 year old girl.

I love my best friend so much.
