October 15th, 1971
Dear diary,
I woke up and started to cry. I had a bad nightmare!
I had a dream where I was walking to my room. When I almost got to my room, I saw a trail of red stuff on the floor. It looked like blood!
I followed the trail of the red stuff, and I looked up and saw daddy stabbing mommy with a knife!
It was only just a dream. Daddy would never hurt mommy, he loved her so much!
That's all I remember when mommy was alive. They really loved each other so much. But dad is not the same anymore. He scares me and I wish he was dead and not mom.
I remember where mommy is now, she is in heaven. The last thing I remember from her is we had to take her to the doctor's because she was very sick.
Today dad said things will change for me soon. He said I better get used to it because there's nothing I can do about it. I don't know what that means. I'm going to sleep now.
