October 21st, 1971
Dear diary,
These people that I did not know came to the school and drove me far away. They didn't even say anything to me. I tried to talk to them but they weren't listening. I was scared, I just want my mommy. She makes me feel safe.
When we finally got to the place, it was getting dark. They took me to the building. When we got inside, I saw dad. He was talking to some woman with big glasses on her face.
When he saw me, he looked angry but slightly calm. I don't know why he looks different all the time. I remember when he used to smile.
I ran up to him, crying, and I held on to his leg. I remember telling him, "please daddy, please don't leave me here."
He pushed me off and started yelling. He treated me like an animal and not his girl. He said all these rude things, he said I'm the reason mom is gone, he said that I belong here. Then he left me.
