Sans walked slowly through the stables, a bone in his right hand. It clinked on the rusty metal bars, and he watched the creatures that resided in them inch back to the back of their tiny cells. He smiled. He loved this feeling of power over these things. He started to sing.
"It's just about to break,
It's more than I can take...
Everything's about to change.
I can feel it in my veins,
It's not going away,
Everything's about to change." Sans felt a cold hand on his shoulder. "Dad." He said plainly. "Son, you know what you must do." Gaster's voice seemed to drip down from the walls and onto the floor, creating an almost cavern-like feeling inside of Sans' chest. "I do. I understand, Dad." He glanced behind him, but nobody was there. All he could see was teal-blue wisps that left his eye and trailed out into the darkness that loomed behind him. It was time.
                  And he didn't like that.
-------------
I lay lazily in bed, waiting for the newest pain to ebb away. I stretched to my full extent and flipped around, and I reached out my hand to grab my phone. I groped for it, my eyes half open. I finally picked up the slick black object and pulled it over to me. I turned it on. Nothing. I sighed and turned it back off. For the past few weeks, there was something up with Sans. He seemed... Nervous, which have me a feeling of dread that hung over me like a thick blanket. But every time I was around him, my soul seemed to hurt more. I lay there, my face partially submerged in a fluffy pillow, until Mettaton poked his head in. "Hello, darling." He said, and sauntered over to me. I stayed where I was, not bothering to sit up. "You okay?" He ruffled my already bedraggled hair. "Come on, lazy! The day still hasn't ended!" Mettaton said, obviously in a very good mood. I wondered what had happened the night before. I shrugged it off and rolled out of the bed, and stood up. I walked to the bathroom to comb my hair, and I had a feeling that Mettaton was following me. I stepped in and looked in the mirror. "What is it?" I asked. "Oh, I thought I'd try something on your hair." Mettaton said, purposefully putting wistfulness into his sentence. "Yeah? And what is that?" I asked, turning around. "I got dye, and it just doesn't work for my hair. I'm going to do it on you, so get down on your knees, whether you like it or not." I couldn't help but smile. "Alright, your Majesty." I said, kneeling down. After a couple minutes, Mettaton told me that I could stand back up. I stood, still thankful that Alphys had fixed my leg. No more stupid crutches. I glanced at him, feeling a ghost pain. My eyes trailed down to his own soul, and to my confusion it was still a perfect half. Does anything make this guy mad? I thought to myself. I decided against that and looked to the mirror. The sweep in my hair was now dyed teal with a bright pink residing at the tips. It looked cool. "Thanks, now can I leave?" I asked. Mettaton rolled his eyes. "Fine." I slipped past him and left the house, intrigued by what would happen today.
"Nami, how far away is Undyne's house?" I ask skeptically, pulling the device out from my chest panel.
"Two miles away, Neo. If you wish to travel there at a walking speed, I can get directions for you." The phone chirped, vibrating in my palm.
"Yes, that will do. " I twist my knuckle screws anxiously, awaiting a map to appear in my mainframe. My chest vibrates as pixels begin to load in my eyes.
"You have successfully received the map. Is there anything else you wish of me?" Nami chirped, her energetic voice reminding me of her compatibility with me. She was designed to be my perfect icon, to fit my personality perfectly. She would make a great robot, if she wasn't so passive.
"I have two needs. One, play my "travel" music playlist. Two, tell Alphys to schedule a meeting soon, we have something to discuss." I replied coolly, a quick buzz told me she complied. My chest cabinet zipped open, allowing me to calmly dispatch the phone. I folded my fingers, music began to fill my system.
"Here we come, rage mode." A grin traveled up my cheek, my journey to battle had begun.
--------
"Glad you could make it!" Undyne cheered, slapping me in the back. "You ready for training?" I blushed sheepishly, raising my blaster. "That's the spirit! Now, before we train, tell me a bit about it. Go on, you can sit down. I SAID SIT!" I hurried to the table, Undyne sliding in next to me.
"Well, uh, it is a long story. " I started, remembering that the blaster cloning was a special secret. I had to bend the truth. "You see, Sans and I were walking in the cold two days ago and Sans decided to take me to the waterfall. So we were there and then this big.....creature jumped at us, instinct kicked in, and this thing on my arm activated and shot it." Undyne leaned into me, did she know it was a lie?
"What happened after that? This creature sounds suspicious, and if it were to be in royal territory-" if I had the ability to sweat like I did blush and cry, I would be one wet mess.
"Well...I kinda blacked out. When I woke up, I was in Alphys's lab and everyone thought I was dead, I guess. She claimed I had found my blaster, witch I could use three times if I needed to. I asked Sans about the animal when I got out of the chop shop, and he said there had never been an animal and I had just fired at nothing." I looked plainly into her eyes, guilt of my lie almost proving overwhelming. She rubbed her chin, cold eyes holding my stare.
"Alright, kid. Let's get on the training floor outside and we will see what we can do about these flimsy arms of yours." I nodded, allowing her to stand up before slowly flinging my feet on the cold floor. Undyne trotted over to the door, opening it prematurely for us.
"Come on, soldier. Don't let the cold air in, ladies first." She shoved me out the door, I lost my balance and ended up on the ground. But I didn't get up.

Wump wump.
Wump wump.
The snow gave in to their footsteps, Papyrus skipped happily alongside his brother. His bright red scarf waved around triumphantly, rubbing agains Sans' head.
"Papyrus, go to school. You shouldn't have followed me this far." Sans grumbled, reaching out to open the gates that for so long had haunted him.
"Awe, come in! Can I come in just one more? Please? Vhelma and Terrance are about to meet their new clones, I have to name the new batch! I have to be there!" He whined, tugging on Sans' sleeve in angst. Sans rolled his eyes, shoving Papyrus away.
"Goodbye, Papyrus." Sans enters the building, stifling his brother's cry of betrayal. Squeezing his eyes shut, he makes his way to the stables.
"I'm here, dad." He calls out to the stable door. A small microphone replies, "Good. Come down." Sans sighs, opening the door. An eerie howling sends a shiver down his spine, the cries of lonely souls sending Sans into a faster paced walk. He glances down at a stall, stopping. The sad, delicate eyes of a child torn from it's mother lock onto his, the small creature contained in the stall uttering an eerie whimper. Papyrus called her Valorie. Sans called her B3. Whatever her name was, she was a blaster, and no factor could change that. A dangerous artificial being that couldn't be trusted. Sans turned away from her and continued to the elavator.
"Sans, good to see you made it. I already set up one of the newest batch in he arena for you to practice on. I need to harvest the other new ones and situate their genes with the computer." Gaster wheezed, his stance unflinching as Sans stepped into the room.
"Ok, but then can I go play? Papyrus wanted me to ditch school with him." Sans offered, brushing past his father. Gaster sighed, shaking his head.
"No, boy. I need you here, where you can learn and grow."
"But what more do I need to learn? This is pointless, father, and you know it. We lost mother because of your useless rambling. Can't you see that this is driving you mad?" Sans froze, his father turning to him. An icy glare shone across Ghaster's face, his still eyes frightened the boy before him.
"Sans, do you realize what we are doing here? You will be a hero, you will be the one to save the underground. This fate I foresee, only you can defy it. "
"But, I don't wanna be a hero. People like Undyne are supposed to be heroes, not me." Sans whined before entering the arena. Gaster sighed, mumbling to himself.
"He has to be a hero...he just has to be. The poor boy just doesn't realize I am trying to save him from something much greater then this evil I foresee. I am saving him from-oh, silly me, I am talking to myself again, aren't I?" He choked, a starchy giggle escaping his lips as a demonic scream floated out from the arena.
" Undyne! Your call sounded quite frantic, is everything-oh my god. Neo. Undyne, what happened to him?!"
"I don't know, he kinda blacked out."
"Oh dear....this has happened before, I will take out his chip."
       "What has happened before?"
"He has blacked out like this before, I think it is a bug in his internal codex."
Blurry images clouded my vision, a moan escaped my lips in a desperate plea for sanity.
      "Urghhhhhh.....A-Alp......"
"Was that him?  He must be coming to. Set him on the table, he will need an explanation." Light blinded my vision, the voices of Undyne and presumably Alphys mixed together to create an eerie sound I had only heard once before, somewhere in a vision. I tried to recall the source of the voice, but I felt too hot for my systems to work.
"Help...hot." I moaned, my body quivering intensely.
"Oh dear... He is overheating. Before long, his memory chip will fry."
"We have to do something! Look at him, Alphys, he is suffering and you are just standing there! He is being boiled alive! Do something!"
"I will need to change his radiator out to save his memory...I need that memory chip out."
"I'm no computer scientist, but doesn't that mean we will have to shut him off while you build a new radiator?"
"Yeah, so like I said, I need that memory chip out. Undyne, hold him down while I get it out along with any belongings in his storage compartment." Cool hands gripped my arms, releasing heat from my wrists breifly. I screamed in shock, feeling warmth run through my body. My screen flashed warnings of overheat and memory damage, my eyes found a small yellow hand-like blob touch my chest. It pressed a couple buttons and my side compartment eagerly opened, exposing my phone and spare parts. Each item was taken out individually, like some secret operation was at hand.
"Now, for his memory chip." The voice quivered, a screwdriver piercing my chest. I moaned, heat corroding my tongue. Bits of the mushy substance began to melt off of the robotic infrastructure of my tongue, I tried not to swallow them. My chest tingled, the opening in my chest was being invaded.
"Goodnight, Neo." The voice seemed to cackle as my memory chip jolted from it's plug. I cried out, only to be silenced by darkness as I fell out of this world.
[Admin Sil note: Sorry for yet another note but does anyone know the song that Sans was singing? It's one of my favorites...]
