[REVISED]
Sans really didn't mind having to work a bunch of jobs. It gave him the chance to observe the surface, and how people reacted to monsters. Now he was wiping off tables at Grillby'z, eyesocketing a woman and her kid eat, while they nervously looked around at all of the monsters. The kid seemed to be in awe of everything at the diner, while the mother seemed to want to take out her purse and use it as a weapon. Sans sighed and walked over to Grillby.
"Well, that's my shift. See you tomorrow, Grillby." Sans said, smiling.
"See you, Sans." Grillby replied.---------------------
I stood still as Alphys messed with my back in yet another room, ignoring a strange feeling that flowed through my body.
"You done yet?" I asked, impatient.
"Oh, almost." Alphys said, closing my control panel, which was also open. "Just gotta- yes!" She leapt back as two huge black... Things exploded from my back.
"I- uh- wow." I said, slightly confused by this new body part.
"I said almost. Hold on." She fiddled with the rods, and some kind of magic liquid/light substance started to flow down, but before it could hit the ground it evaporated. I was awestruck by this, but wasn't I awestruck by everything? It was my first day alive.
"Alphys, this is... Amazing." I said.
"Thanks! Okay. Just one more minute and you can meet everyone." Alphys scurried out another door and into what I guessed was the official main room. She started to give a speech, which I only half-listened to, as how she made a new robot and she wanted to show everyone, and why Mettaton had only half a soul, but at that part she didn't seem to put her own soul into it. Almost as if... She was lying. I just ignored it, and played with the wings that I now had. I figured out I could move them slightly. I could fold them, that was it. They were just as show, as what the blueprints said. "Come on, Neo! Time to go!" Alphys whispered. I grinned, keeping my "wings" folded in. "Where'd they go?" She asked.
"Shhh." I hissed. "Get on stage, Alphy."
"Don't call me Alphy." Alphys ran into the room, and held out her arms. "Presenting... Neo!" I walked in, showing off how my waist could float. I swiveled on my heels and posed dramatically slowly counting to three in my head. At three, my wings fiercely shot out, the light/liquid exploding from the rods. I watched the crowd's expression at the pink and blue sparkly light/liquid [gonna just start to call it liquid whatevs], and my gaze drifted over to Mettaton. He was smiling as wide as his face would allow him to, clapping hysterically with who I presumed to be Papyrus, who was holding him bridesmaid style. His expression showed him to be in shock of this, a new Mettaton. Papyrus said something to Mettaton, put him down, and held up a phone. He called someone and talked quicker than I could comprehend. I was snapped back into reality when Alphys snapped her fingers in front of my eye and crosshairs. "Ahem, Neo, back to the world!" Alphys said. A girl who's voice seemed familiar snickered.
"Always daydreaming, just like Sans." She said. She was a fish person, fairly buff, with a long curl of fiery red hair dangling gracefully over her shoulder in a ponytail.
"Undyne!" Alphys said, flustered.
"Well, is he just gonna stand there like MTT or can we get this party started?!" Undyne exclaimed. A little human nodded, and Undyne picked the child up by the head. "See?! Frisk agrees!" She said. So much for chill attitude, I thought. "Neo? You wanna say hi or are you just gonna stand there?" She said.
"O-Oh, yeah. Right." I let the lliquid stop its never ending flow and the "wings" fold back in, and I hopped off the stage. The child, who Undyne called Frisk, ran up and hugged my leg. They looked up, and smiled. Hello, they said in sign language. How did I know sign language? "Hey Frisk. I'm Neo." Are you, like, Mettaton's twin? "Yes! I honestly have no idea how I was created." I know how I was created!
"Don't explain it, child." Said a goat monster, who ran up and snatched Frisk up. She held out a paw. "I am Toriel. So nice to meet you." I shook it.
"Neo, but I guess you already knew that."
"HEY, PUNK!" Before I knew what was happening, my waist was picked up and I was held up by Undyne, who exclaimed she knew she could suplex me and that Asgore (who I presumed to be the male goat monster) owed her twenty dollars. My legs seemed to spring to life and they started to race around Undyne, who started to laugh hysterically. "Oh. My. God. Neo." She wheezed in between breaths. "This is too funny. Where's Sans, Papyrus?" She called over to Papyrus, who had just gotten off the phone.
"Oh! He's on his way." Undyne set me down, and my legs seemed to zoom back into place. Undyne burst into another fit of laughter.
"I... Really don't know what to say about what just happened." I muttered. I stood up, and the flower pot Frisk was holding began to move crazily, and I collapsed back onto the ground and clutched my head.Showlights skittered around the room. I was standing there, my right arm felt funny. A little girl walked into the room, a knife rusty with blood in her left hand. She charged, screaming, and drove her knife into my soul. I screeched in pain, and collapsed to the ground. "It can't end like this..." I heard myself say. The pain was unbearable. My gaze started to glitch, and the last thing I saw was the girl, standing above me with an insane smile.
"Neo! Neo, are you okay?!" My eyes flew open, and I clutched the glass case that held my soul and gasped for breath. I curled into a ball, trying hard not to cry by the searing pain. "Oh, Neo! What's wrong?" Said a voice that sounded like Mettaton's. "Girl... Knife... Dying..." I managed to choke out. "Oh get up you bag of trash!" Said a high pitched voice. I looked up and saw Mettaton and a potted plant looking down at me, as well as everyone else. Frisk was shaking me, and I sat up, which made them stop and hug me. I didn't want to lose you the first day, if so I'd blame Alphys. "Hey!" Alphys said. The flower frowned; something I really didn't expect. "What happened? You scared or something?" It cooed, mocking me. "I hope a caterpillar eats your petals." I snapped. A knock at the door made me stop; I would have said something worse. Mettaton helped me to my feet and we all turned to the door as he opened it. There stood a short skeleton, wearing a blue hoodie. "MTT." He said.
"Sans. Why don't you... Come in?" Mettaton said through clenched metal teeth. "Gladly. Hey Pap." The skeleton known as Sans said. "Yay! You came!" exclaimed Papyrus. "Wouldn't miss it. Where's the sur-" he stopped and looked at me with an expression I couldn't figure out, even with my sensors. "Who would you be?" Sans asked. "My name is Neo. I'm Mettaton's brother." I said, trying not to continue flipping out by whatever the hell just happened. "Ah. I see." He said. "Well, nice to meet you, Neo." He said, holding out his hand. Frisk started to crazily shake their hands as I extended my arm. "Nice to-" I stopped as about half my body short circuited. I collapsed to the ground for the third time this day and glared at the skeleton that grinned in front of me. "Sorry bro. Forgot robots can't handle joy buzzers." Sans was blushing a little bit, and since the metal of my face felt warmer than the rest of my body I presumed I was as well. "SANS!" shrieked Mettaton. "Why the hell do you always do that?!" He commanded. "Well, it's funny to do on robots. They go down like bricks." Mettaton frowned. "Yeah? How many robots do you know?" Sans smiled widened, and Papyrus slowly put his hand to his face. "Well, I haven't met-ta-ton, but it's still funny." He said. I laughed at his pun. Mettaton was fuming on the other hand. "What? Can't take the shock that I just did that?" He said, his smile widening even more. I laughed more. "Oh my god." I said, getting up off of the ground. "Never met anyone who actually appreciates my puns." Sans said, blushing again. "They're hilarious, dude. I could take a skele-ton of them." I said. Sans' smile became impossibly wide. Papyrus screamed in unison with Mettaton. "Why have you done this?!" Papyrus yelled. "Hey calm down. His puns are... Rib-tickling!" Sans said, and I snorted, holding out a hand, which Sans high-fived. Undyne leaned over to Alphys, and I heard her say "told you they'd click." I blushed yet again, the metal on my face growing hot again. My hand dropped down, hitting my leg metal with a clang. "Woah." Sans said, looking down at my levitating waist. "That's incredible." He stuck his hand through the space between my waist and leg, and I blushed harder. "Stop, Sans." Mettaton said, growing irratated. "No bro." Sans responded flatly, starting to move his hand through the space. I backed up. "You're done." I said, my face feeling like I had just face planted onto the sun. "Okay man. Whatever you say." Undyne checked her watch, which seemed to have magically appeared. Either that or I wasn't that keen on looking at people's wrists. "It's getting kinda late. How about we-"
"Sleep over!" Alphys exclaimed, interrupting Undyne. "I was going to say that, but what do you guys say?" Asgore and Toriel looked at each other. "We were going out with a couple of friends. If Frisk could stay that would be great." Mettaton sighed. "Alright, darlings, make yourselves at home."
DU LIEST GERADE
Skeletons and Robots (Discontinued due to lack of time)
FanfictionThis is an AU called the Brothers AU where Neo is a completely different being from Mettaton. They share a soul, but Neo got I guess what you'd call the "bad part". Don't forget to comment and vote if you like it! This is a collab with @kindlethebre...
