It was the last day of summer. The sun was shining, the birds were chirping, and the wind was blowing. There were two taxi cars outside. One in front of Carter's house and one in front of Pepper's house.
Down in Carter's house, Carter finished packing her last suitcase, zipped it up and rolled it out the room. Carter turned back to look at her room one last time. It was empty. Everything was gone.
But in her mind she imagined her bed by the window. The two dressers on each side of her bed. The awesome flatscreen TV that sat against the wall by the door. The R5 posters all over her walls. She imagined everything. Every little detail.
But when she came to reality...everything faded away. She knew she had to leave. "I'm gonna miss this room." She whispered to herself as a tear fell down her cheek. She grabbed the doorknob and shut the door.
Ross came up the stairs and wrapped his arms around her from behind. "You okay baby?" He said to her and kissed her head. Carter nodded her head and turned around to face Ross. "Yeah. I'm just gonna really miss this place." She chocked as tears streamed down her face. Ross pulled her against him as she wrapped her arms around him soaking his shirt with her tears.
"Don't worry. You will come back and see this place again. Your not leaving forever." Ross whispered in her ear, comforting her. Carter nodded and looked up to see his face. "I love you so much Ross." Ross smiled wiping her tears "I love you too, love." And kissed her on the lips.
Ross took Carter's suitcase in one hand and Carter's hand in the other. They walked downstairs to the front door. "I'm going to put this in the taxi." Ross said to Carter. He lets go of her hand and walks out the front door.
Carter turns the corner into the livingroom to see her family standing and talking to one another. It was her mother, father, brother, sister in law, nieces and nephews.
"Honey I'm so proud of you. I'm gonna miss you so much." Carter's mother said with tears in her eyes, hugging Carter for dear life. Carter hugs back crying again. "I'm gonna miss you too mommy. I love you very much." Carter lets go of her mom and goes to her dad and goes into his arms. "I love you daddy. I'm gonna miss you too." Carter's father smiles and hugs her back kissing the top of her head. "I love you too baby girl. I know you going to do well."
Carter goes to her brother and gives him the biggest hug ever. "Promise to visit me whenever you can bubby?" Carter asks, looking up to her big brother with tears spilling out of her eyes. "Don't worry baby sis. I'm keeping the promise til the day I die." He tells her hugging her back kissing her head also.

Pepper is carrying her last suitcase down the stairs preparing herself for the hardest part of her life.
Saying goodbye to her loved ones.
Connor, Tyler, Erica, And Riley.
She goes to Riley first. "Oh Riley, you were the quietist one out of the whole group. When I'm in my dorm by myself and its quiet, I will always think of you and how you never talk." Pepper said to Riley with tears pouring out. She gave her a hug when Riley asks "Pepper you were always the loudest of the group. I was the quietest. How did we even work?" Pepper laughed and replied with "I don't know. I guess the world may never know." Pepper smiled.
She went over to Erica. "Erica, you are my best friend. My sister. You have always been there for me when no one else hasn't. You know my deepest darkest secrets, you know how to make me laugh, you know how to help me with homework. Im going to miss that. I'm gonna miss you so much." Pepper cried and gave Erica a hug. Erica was crying also "oh Pepper, if you need help with school work just call and ask. I'm the smartest one out of the group. All you got to do is ask." Erica let go of Pepper and whiped her tears.
Pepper went to Tyler. "Ty, your going to visit me as much as you can right? Well when you get Beck from tour?" Pepper asked barely able to speak. "Of course baby sis. I love you so much. I'm gonna be there for you when you were there for me." Tyler pulled her in a hug and started crying a little.

Carter, Ross and her family was by her taxi.
Pepper, Connor, and her family were by her taxi.
Carter went to her brother. She pulled him into a hug. "I love you bubby. So much." Her brother hugged her back. "I love you to baby sis. I'll call you every night. Good bye Carter." Her brother said when he let her go. "Goodbye bubby." She replied crying her eyes out.
She went to her mother and father. They all hugged together and let Carter go after a few seconds. "Bye mom, bye dad. I love you so much." She said choking on her words a little. "I love you too baby." Her mom said. "I love you too baby girl." Said her father.
She went to Ross last. He smiled at her. She smiled back. But she broke down sobbing. Ross pulled her close to him as much as he could wrapping his arms around her burrying his face in her neck as tears finally escaped his eyes. "I love you Ross. I love you so much." Carter said with her face in his neck. "I love you too, love. I promise you, were going to make this work. I'll see you again before you know it." Ross said looking at Carter with tears streaming down his face. Carter nodded her head. "We will make this work. I love you Ross. I always have. And always will." She said and smiled. "I love you too, love. I always have. And always will." Ross replied and smiled. Both if them were smiling as they remembered when they said that to each other four months ago. Ross pulled her close and kissed her with so much love and passion. Carter kissed back wrapping her arms around his neck holding him close. They pulled away and Ross put his forehead on Carter's and just held her close.
Pepper went to Riley and gave her a big hug crying like crazy. "Goodbye Riley. I'm gonna miss you." She pulled away and and Riley said "goodbye Pepper." With tears in her eyes and a smile on her face.
Pepper went to Erica next and engulfed her in a hug. "Goodbye Erica. I love you so much sis." Pepper cried out. And pulled away. "Goodbye Pepper. I love you too." Erica chocked through her tears.
Pepper went to her big brother. "Goodbye Ty. Hope you have lots of fun on tour. I love you big bro." Pepper said giving him a big hug staining his shirt with tears. "Goodbye Pepper. I will have fun. I love you too baby sis." He said through his tears when she pulled back.
Finally, it was Connor's turn. "Pepper from the first day I met you, I knew that we had something special. From the first day I met you, I knew you were the love of my life. From the first day I met you, I knew were gonna have a bright future together. I love you with all my heart. I love you so much Pepper." Connor said with tears going down his face. Pepper smiled with tears down her cheeks. "I love you so much too, Connor" Connor pulled her to him and kissed her with so much love. Pepper kissed back holding his face in her hands. When they pulled back they looked in each others eyes and smiled.
Carter and Pepper walked to each other and embraced each other with tears falling down their faces. They pulled back to look at each other. "I gonna miss you so much Pepper. Make sure to call me and tell me every detail about your college life. Have fun because this is the start of your new life. I love you Pepper."
Pepper laughed and smiled again. " I'm gonna miss you too Carter. And don't worry. I was planning on calling you anyway. And make sure you have fun too. I love you Carter. "
They gave each other one last hug before separating to their own cab. Carter kissed Ross one last time and opened the door looking at Pepper. Pepper kissed Connor one last time, opening the car door looking back at Carter.
They both smiled and got into their cabs.
