Rulf The Wall

The man I had conveniently ran into had brown hair that looked almost black, bright blue eyes, and very tan skin. He had broad shoulders with an exquisite jawline. He was probably a worker of some type. He is very tall, so tall that he toward over me. Or maybe that was because I am so small in stature. He is wearing a white tunic with trousers.

We stood staring at each other for a good five minutes before I realized I was staring at him. And the odd thing was, he was staring right back at me, as if looking for something. I cleared my throat,"Well, sorry for my blabbering, calling you a wall, and bumping into you." I tried to hide the laughter about to bubble up in me. I found that his chin was also trembling, trying to hide his laughter. When I couldn't keep it in any longer and burst out. After a few moments, he joined with his hearty laugh.

We laughed until our stomachs hurt and we could barely breath. We both stood panting trying to catch our breaths. "My name is Rulf, what's yours?" He said, breathing heavily.

"Nice to meet you, I'm Emeline," I said curtsying. " We stood in silence once more, "well, I better go, my lunchtime is about to be at an end," I said breaking the silence.

"Oh, yes, nice to meet you too,"he replied. I curtsied once more and walked passed him, fighting down the heat in my cheeks.

"Emeline!" Rulf called when I was halfway down the hallway.

I turned around,"yes?"

"When will I see you again?" He asked. I simply shrugged and retreated towards the lunchroom as fast as my legs could carry me.

When I had reached the lunchroom I walked over towards the serving table and served up in a daze. I just couldn't get Rulf out of my  mind. When I walked over towards my usual table no one was there. I was perfectly okay with that. It gave me time to think about Rulf and tried to bring my mind around the turn of events. I slowly ate my lunch and headed to my room just seconds before the lunch bell rang. I quickly ran towards my quarters, I needed to pack.

I quickly stuffed all my old and new clothes into my old traveling bag that had collected dust over the year. I hadn't gotten rid of anything since I had arrived. I had, however, collected a few gifts for my family and new town-clothes. I would miss my roommate who I had only gotten a week ago, but I really didn't know her that well. She cooked in the kitchen so she has a different work schedule than me. By the time she came to her room after working, I was already asleep.

After packing I looked at the room I had occupied for the last year. I remembered old memories. Like, after the first week of my employment in the maid service, Mirabelle and some of her friends(also now my friends) had set up a girls night. And had invited me.
