MYSTERY GIRL

Chapter 1

               I'm Kevin Staar. I'm a Senior in high-school. I don't really know how to introduce myself. I have dark hair and light skin with hazel eyes. I'm a straight- A student, I don't like to be social, and that's really it. My friends are Jase and Lily. Jase is sporty and funny. He has dark hair and brown skin with brown eyes. Lily is nice and preppy. She has blonde hair and light skin with green eyes. But my best friend is Skylar Lane, She's different. She has blonde hair and light skin with blue eyes. She loves adventures and mysteries. Until she became one.
And that's how it began.

              One day, me, Skylar, Jase and Lily eat at our table at lunch.
"Guess what, guys?," Skylar says.
"What?," we all ask.
"My parents were fighting yesterday and didn't tell me why!"
"So?," I ask.
"So," she grins," I'm gonna figure out this mystery."
"You love mysteries," I remark.
"Maybe a little too much," Jase laughs.
"Mysteries are intriguing and give me an adrenaline rush that I find addicting!", she lights up.
"Yeah," Lily grins,"There's something else like that. But you're too young to have it!"
We all laugh.
           Just then, the popular group walks by. It consists of 2 boys and 2 girls. Britt is the leader of the group, she's the mean queen of school. She has blonde hair and light skin with blue eyes, like Skylar. Chuck is a little too nice and loyal for that group. He has blonde hair and light skin with brown eyes. Teresa is Britt's partner in crime. She has long, dark hair and light skin with brown eyes. They run the school together. Austin is Teresa's boyfriend. He has blonde hair and light skin with blue eyes. He's Jase's rival and has a little sister named Natalie.
            Natalie's a nice girl. She has dark, short, choppy hair and light skin with green eyes. She hangs out with us but she's not here today.
            I hope she's okay.

               After school, me, Skylar, Jase and Lily walk behind it to get to our houses.
"Do you smell that?," Jase asks.
I do. It smells like something rotting.
Skylar grins,"It smells like a mystery."
"Oh," I shout," Come on! Seriously?"
"Oh my gosh!," Lily screams,"Look!"
We all turn to what she's pointing at and scream at what it is.
Natalie's dead body.
