MYSTERY GIRL

Chapter 10

                 "Skylar!," we all gasp.
We run up to her and hug her.
"How did you guys find me?," Skylar gasps.
"It wasn't easy, Partner," I smile.
"What are you guys doing here?!," Britt enters.
"You are SO busted!," Lily says.
"Guys!," Skylar says,"You don't understand!"
"What?," I ask.
Skylar takes a deep breath,"Britt is my sister. She didn't take me, she's protecting me. On Prom night, the person who killed Natalie knew I was onto them. They tried to kill me, but Britt took me into hiding to keep me safe."
"Me and Teresa made Austin write the message so the killer would think they were safe and they wouldn't get Skylar," Britt says.
"Who killed Natalie?," I ask.
"It was Chuck," Skylar states.

Me, Skylar, Jase, Lily and Britt head back home in the woods.
"Why would Chuck kill Natalie?," Lily asks.
"We don't know," Britt replies.
Then, gunshots fire.
"Get down!," Britt shouts.
We duck down and see who's shooting.
Chuck.
"Chuck!," Britt shouts.
"I see you guys have figured it out," Chuck grins.
"Why did you kill your best friends' sister?," Jase asks.
"Me and Natalie were dating," Chuck says,"But she cheated on me and ran away from me. I found out that she was hiding in the warehouse so I confronted her and she tried to kill me! She must've thought the message was ACTUALLY from me and got scared. She thought I was dead and ran away. I saw her behind the school, but she had a gun. She wouldn't listen to me so I had no choice but to kill her. She was threatening me! It's all because of YOU!"
Chuck cries.
Skylar gasps.
"What's wrong?," I ask her.
"Umm," she says,"Nothing."
"Chuck...," Britt says.
"DONT TALK TO ME!," Chuck screams," I WILL KILL YOU!"
Skylar coughs and falls.
"Skylar!," I run to her.
And I see a bullet wound in her stomach.
"NO!," I cry.
One of Chuck's gunshots must've hit her.
"I'm sorry," Skylar moans,"Do me a favor. Never let our adventure end."
"I won't."
"I love you, Partner," She kisses me with her last breath.
I fall and cry.
All of our memories together flash before me.
"See what happens when you hurt me?," Chuck grins.
I look at Jase and he grins. He gives me his pocket knife and I run to Chuck and kick the gun out of his hand.
"Don't make me kill you!," I shout.
Chuck kicks me away and I drop the knife he grabs it and thrusts it at me. I stop it with my hand and it cuts through my hand and I scream in pain. I kick Chuck off of me.
"Give up while you can!," Chuck screams.
I take the knife out of my hand and wince. Blood pours out of my hand as I thrust the knife to Chuck but pass out from the blood loss.
The last thing I remember is the police coming.
