MYSTERY GIRL

Chapter 3

               "That was awesome!," I gasp as we speed through the city with Austin and Teresa on our tail.
"I told you!," Skylar laughs,"Look at us! We're Partners In Crime!"
"I have this adrenaline rush inside of me! And I just.... Love it!"
"That's why I love mysteries."
"I'd love to be your Partner In Crime from now on, Skylar."
She smiles at me.
"Where are we going now?," I ask.
"Brenndale," She says,"We're going the place on Natalie's map."

              In Brenndale, Austin and Teresa speed at us.
"They won't leave us alone!," I shout.
"I like them. They're good," Skylar grins," But not good enough."
She swirves the car to a stop.
"Tuck and roll!," she shouts.
We dash out of the car and run into an alley.
"HEY!," we hear Austin shout,"COME BACK HERE!"
We run all the way to a warehouse and we hide in it.
"I never want this adventure to end," I gasp.
"It's not over yet, Partner," Skylar smirks.
We look around the warehouse. And see a hideout.
"Look," Skylar points out,"Someone was here not too long ago."
"Look!," I see a necklace that Natalie always used to wear,"This must've been Natalie's hideout."
"And I can see why she was hiding," Skylar points to a spray painted message on the wall.
"YOU CAN'T HIDE FROM ME."
Then, someone approaches us.
Chuck.
"What are you guys doing here?," he asks.
"What about you?," Skylar remarks.
"This used to be my dad's warehouse and I worked here."
"Was Natalie ever here?," I ask.
"Yes," he says,"I let her hide here but I got in trouble for it and got fired. That's why the place closed down."
They hear voices.
"Come out!," Teresa shouts.
"We know your in here!," Austin shouts.
"We have to go!," I whisper.
"You didn't see anything!," Skylar tells Chuck.
Me and Skylar dash out of the other exit and hurry to the car.
"Go! Go! Go!," I shout.
"Oh no!," Skylar moans,"We're out of gas!"
"This is an adventure!," I remind her," We can walk."
Me and her run all the way to a beach.

             "I called Jase and Lily," I tell Skylar," They're on their way."
I sit next to Skylar.
"I had fun tonight," I say,"This was the best night of my life."
"Mine, too," she smiles,"I discovered a different part of you tonight. I discovered my Partner In Crime." She makes a gun- shooting sound and so do I.
We laugh.
And I look at her. She looks different. I see her differently. She's not my best friend who's my total opposite. She's my Partner In Crime. And we are exactly the same.
I take her hand and she blushes.
Then we kiss in the moonlight.
