CHAPTER 25

MICHAEL POV:

I woke up before Jess, which was really weird and hardly ever happens. Her eye was even more puffy than yesterday, but the bleeding stopped. I wouldn't be surprised if it was swollen shut today. How could our fans do this?

I angrily opened the Twitter app on my phone and started reading through the hate that had started. All of this shit isn't even true. I found Macy's tweet that started everything. A lot of our fans followed her since we dated so it took hardly any time for the tweet to catch fire and for me to find it.

@Macy_xo: 5SOS FAM! Michael's girlfriend Jess is here at Bondi beach

@Macy_xo: OH & BTW she had sex with Luke last weekend behind Michael's back. My friend was there and has proof. So ya.

What the fuck. She attached a picture of Jess and Luke kissing outside of Holly's house. I need to set the fans straight this has gotten out of hand.

@Michael5SOS: You guys need to respect us as a band & our personal decisions. Send virtual hugs not hate I know it's easy to get caught up in it. xx

@Michael5SOS: And to set the rumors straight that picture is fake.

I threw my phone down on the floor which woke Jess up. She winced trying to open both eyes. "Good morning babe," I kissed her forehead. "I called your work and told them you weren't coming in today because of what happened, so I was thinking we could hang with Bekah and Calum since she's leaving in a couple days and we have the day off?" I asked.

"Yes that sounds good, but first could you get me an ice pack and some pain medicine.... my ribs." she said weakly.

I went down stairs and saw Bekah and Calum sitting at the breakfast bar. "How is she doing? I-I tried to stop them but then they started coming after me too. I didn't know what to do so I just yelled for the shack employees to call the police," Bekah spoke hastily.

"Shh, it's okay you helped out a ton," Calum replied rubbing her back.

"Yeah she's okay, just really sore and weak. She was more upset about Macy," I growled as that name left my lips. "But she wants to hangout, like the four of us today, are you guys cool with that?" I asked.

They both nodded. I popped two bagels in the toaster and smothered some cream cheese on them. I grabbed the advil, ice pack and some orange juice before heading back upstairs.

"Here's some breakfast, you need to eat," I told Jess sitting down next to her.

She took the pills and positioned the ice pack carefully on her ribs and we started to eat.

"Cal and Bek are down to hangout today, what would you like to do?" I asked.

"Hmm, we should just go downtown Sydney and go out for lunch, maybe do some whale watching at the Harbor? I don't want to over-exert myself," she replied with her mouth full.

"Sounds like an amazing plan babe, let's get ready and I'll let them know."

She just nodded and got up to go shower.

After I got out of the shower I saw her scrolling through her phone, and I instantly knew she was on Twitter reading the hate.

I sat down next to her, "hey look at me," I spoke softly placing my hand on her cheek.

She looked up at me and I could see the pain in her eyes. "Jess I don't want you to worry your pretty little mind to death. I love you and don't want to be with anyone but you. I tweeted to the fans this morning so they should calm down, but seriously don't listen to any of it."
