I look out the bus window and see the horse from my dreams! I can't believe it. You are probably thinking "Oh a lot of horses probably look like that." True, but it's this feeling that I have. I know for sure it's her. The looks, the feelings, everything. So tall, grazing on the field, she is so beautiful. If only I could stop this bus. Although I do have this feeling that I will be seeing her again. It's a strange and funny feeling.
We finally get to school. The bell rings and I go to my first period class. My best friend Austin sits next to me and I tell him about the horse.
"That is really cool." He says.
"Yeah. After school I'm walking home. Do you wanna walk with me?" I ask.
"Sure." He smiles.
"Ok class today out lesson is about ratios." Mrs. Kelly says.

*End of 7th Period*
I sit in class watching the clock.
5, 4, 3, 2, 1, RING RING!!!
Yes school is over! I rush through the crowded, noisy hallway to my locker. I grab my things and wait at the doors for Austin. I stand on my tippy toes trying to look over the crowd of students. I finally spot Austin. I grab his wrist and run out the door.
"Why are you so caught up on a horse? You can find any old horse anywhere." He says.
"You don't understand this horse isn't any old horse. She's special." I say.
As we walk on the country road, I get into deep thought. So deep that I don't even pay attention to what Austin is saying to me. I think about my dream from last night. It was so amazing. Oh how I would do anything to be able to race in the Kentucky Derby. I know for sure I will never get to.
"Riley!" Austin yells.
"Huh? What?" I ask snapping out of my thoughts.
"Is that the horse you were talking about?" He asks, pointing at a field.
I look in the direction he is pointing and I see her! The field isn't fenced in and she is the only horse to be seen.
"It's her!!" I gasp.
"We'll then let's go!" Austin darts forward but I grab his shirt to stop him.
"No don't. You might scare her and cause her to run away." I say.
I slowly walk over to where she is standing. She turns her head to face me. She eyes me closely. I look her in the eyes and she does the same for me. The moment I look her in the eyes, i know this is destiny. This feeling is coming back to me. When I get over to her, I slowly start to pet her long face. Austin stands behind me watching.
"It's her alright." I smile.
I almost feel tears coming to my eyes. This moment is very happy for me. It is almost that I can hear her speaking to me in my heart. I have an idea.
"What are you doing Riley?" Austin asks.
"I'm going to try to ride her." I say.
"What if she's wild. You don't know anything about this horse. You could get injured." He says.
"I know I can do it. I know I can." I say with confidence.
"Be careful. Please." He says hugging me.
"I will. Now give me a boost." I say.
Austin lifts my foot as I kick my other foot over the horse. She hollers a little bit.
"Shhhh don't worry girl. It'll be alright." I whisper into her ear.
She calms down and I sit up on her. I click my mouth and she doesn't do anything.
"She must be wild for sure." I say.
"Yeah." Austin says as he drops his hub backpack on the ground really hard.
As soon as his backpack hits the ground, the horse jumps and takes off. I scream because I almost fall off of the horse.
"Riley!" Austin yells.
I grab onto the horse's neck to pull myself up. I look ahead and realize that I'm riding her in real life! I feel like I'm flying. My fear is completely gone and I feel as safe as I can ever be. Suddenly the horse falls and I hit the ground. I feel pain all the way from head to toe.
"Ahhhhhh!" I scream horridly.
Austin runs over to me and says, "Don't worry I called for help. You'll be ok."
Before I know it, I see nothing but darkness.
