A Shot At Love

Chapter 4~Reality

I'm standing still while Trey pushes his lips against mine. His right hand is cupping my cheek and the other one is on my left hip. His lips are super soft and it feels so good, even though the feeling is so foreign to me. I have never kissed anyone before and i have absolutely no idea what im doing.

A nudge on my lips breaks me away from my thoughts, making me realise that my lips are not moving and that i'm just standing there. I start to kiss Trey back the best i can as I try to follow his lead.Once i get the hang of it I wrap my arms around his neck and pull him closer to me. I stand on my tippy toes to give him a break from bending down since he's taller than I am. We stand there kissing for awhile until i snap back to reality.

I pull back from the kiss abruptly not believing what just happened. I touch my lips trying to let everything register in my brain.

"Autumn look-" Trey starts but i cut him off

"Um can we just get going because it's getting late and my parents are going to start worrying and i have a bunch of homework to do" I plead not wanting to talk about what just happened.

"Yeah ok." He agrees and that's when we get back in the car.

We found a gas station a few miles up. It took almost and hour to get there and it was horrible. We stayed in awkward silence the whole ride. I just thank god that we're here now.

"Do you want me to call the mechanic or do you want to do it?" Trey ask breaking the silence between us

"Could you do for me, because i have no clue what to say" I answer

"Yeah of course." He says with a chuckle

"Ok thanks so much. I'm just gonna run in here and get something to eat. Snack on rather, and call my parents and let them know I'm alright.Do you want anything?" I inform him

"No thank you" he tells me while getting out his phone. I make sure he's positive about not wanting anything then i head into the gas station.

Once im inside I pull out my phone and call my mother.

"Hello" she anwers hesitantly probably making sure it's me.

"Hey ma." I say while i scan up and down the aisles.

"oh thank god your ok, i've been worried sick. What happened!? Are you ok!?" She questions as she screams in my ear.

I let out a little chuckle because i knew she was going to react like this.

While I talk to my mother i pick up some juices, a few bag of chips, and two candy bars.

I tell her everything that happened with the car and how Trey found me and how he's helping me call the mechanic and stuff.

"Well mom, i have to go" i say while I walk up to the counter to pay for my items.

"Ok honey, be careful. I love you" she says and i respond with an "I love you too" before i hang up the phone.

I pay for the snacks i picked out then head back to the car.

"Ok i know you said you didn't want anything, but i still got some extra stuff just in case" I say as soon as i get inside the car

"You didn't have to do that, but thank you" Trey responds with a chuckle

"It's the least i could do. You know, a way to say thank you for everything your doing for me." I tell him as he starts the car

"I promise you it's no problem at all, but we should get back to your car because the mechanic said he'll be here in about and hour, 2 at the most" he advise me while he pulls off
