I'm sure that during your journeys on Wattpad, each of you have come across one of those infamous rant books directed toward Naruto fanfictions. They go through pointing out all the stupid, cliché things people do and question the reasoning behind them. Such as the preposterous Mary Sues. I just shudder at the thought of them. Or putting another character on team seven. Or anything of that like.

Anyway, what is my point in bringing this up you may ask? Well, a great joy of mine is to take cliché story ideas and try to make them unique. I also love when other people can do this, because considering this is Naruto fanfiction – one of the most beaten fandoms in terms of originality – it is always a joy to find someone who can take ideas that others may see as cliché AND FREAKING MAKE THEM WORK.

This author I shall bring up has different stories, but I shall only mention one of them because otherwise, I may give some spoilers because I know some future plot details.

Anyway, you all know that idea of another person in Konoha? Oh yeah, totally overused. The oc is always put on Team Seven and yadada. Very rarely they are given a team of their own, but they always still follow the same archetype but with their own team.

So when that author takes this idea and turns it on its heels? And not only that, but makes wonderful characters that just make you swear your hearts to them in the process? Put this together and you get the wonderful genius that is UnchainedHeart.

I am so sorry if I sound stuck up here, but it is very hard to me to look up to a writer on all aspects on Wattpad. Typically I can always see a certain falling out in their writing. Like they may be creative but have average writing abilities. Or they are absolutely spectacular at writing but fall short on actual plot. There's just usually something that just makes me respect them but not exactly look up to them.

I cannot find that with UnchainedHeart. Her series (don't know the name) including Smoke & Lightning, Painless, and Senseless (as well as a few side novels) is just astounding. It has an oc team that doesn't even graduate in Naruto's year, but instead with Gai's team. And you see such minimal communication with the team that everyone has to make their oc interact with. Like, seriously, the sensei is in love with Kakashi yet you barely see Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. It's such a refresher because you get to see more of Gai's team like you don't in the anime/manga.

Tenten is a freaking love interest! Tell me how often you see that!

And not to mention her writing is just spectacular. It almost always – only once or twice has it slipped – left me just feeling so good inside and like I couldn't stop reading no matter what. I am slow to read because of life, but I just can't stop reading her stuff. Unchained is just spectacular in getting you wrapped around her little finger and loving her books.

If not, you need to go into a corner and contemplate life.

On that note, if you are not a fan of oc heavy stories, these may not be for you. But if you are thinking about ocs and want to explore some actually really good ones, you MUST check her out. I just can't seem to get across with words how amazing she is.

So you know what I'm going to do?

DEMAND YOU GO READ HER STUFF OR I SHALL SHOVE THIS SNOW CONE SO FAR UP YOUR-

*is dragged away by staff members while screaming threats*

*returns thirty minutes later recollected* Um. Yeah. Go check Unchained out. You'll only regret it if ocs aren't your thing or when you start feeling your heart shatter into a million pieces.

But Jun and Hisoka are mine. Don't even think about taking them.
