Chapter 5
White generals and some indian generals come together and begin decide which troops will go where.
"General Whitehouse, you will cover the south with Mirkui. He will show you the best places to hide and Mirkui you'll be our resource on how these people think" I say.
"Yes my lady, I will work together" General Whitehouse says smiling nodding toward Mirkui.
"General Kaden, you will cover the north with Kailen he will be our spy troop who send a messenger to tell us where we should position in the east and west" I say.
"I will follow your decision miss Aridana" General Kaden says. I nod looking to Tandal.
"I will cover the East with General Greene and your best man Lukias" I say. Tandal looks at me angry.
"You not go out you be killed" he says.
"Tandal your coving the west with General Merchant and Hunbare" I say ignoring his comment toward me. I dismiss everyone and ignore Tandal as I gear up with everyone else.
"Stay with Chameli and the boy no name" Tandal says. He looks at me worried.
"I need to do this. I will not let them kill that innocent family thats inhuman" I say ignoring him still.
"He's right Aridana, he can't lose you. You are the Chief future wife. Why are you trying to destroy his future please just stay" my father says.
"Fine I will stay but father you will lead the east for me in return" I say rolling my eyes. I walk toward the baskets staring at the tiny little bundles.
"They cute small tiny. You sure this going work?" Misela says. I look at Misela thinking carefully unsure how to answer.
"Misela, they won't expect it if they see that we've brought guard to the north and south they'll go for the west and east and will not expect us" I say.
"You be with them you pick this" Misela says taking my hand in hers. I look at her and then Chameli whose peacefully sleeping.
"Misela, I promised I would protect these children. That little boys name will be Warrior" I say closing my eyes sitting onto the dirt ground.
A little later........
The sun goes down the sky is filled with stars and a bright large moon. Things stood still nobody made a noise it was silent no messenger came to tell me whether the plan worked or if we need extra reinforcements. A skinny indian man comes into the tipi holding a parchment.
"-e'e'oma'o'e" he says staring at me. I look at him taking the parchment reading it carefully. The parchment reads:
Aridana so far your plans working they've pulled troops from the south and north we've sent reinforcements so the west and east. Tandal's handling his side perfectly he's very concerned for you. We will be celebrating when we have gotten the families back.
I look at the man sitting at the down on the ground writing on a new clean parchment:
Father I am glad everybody is safe when you get the families back we will release the man and make sure the families have shelter here. I am attaching a treaty to the paper please allow our English Cheyenne translator let the other tribe now we declare freedom and want shelter and will work with them if needed.
I hand the man the parchment showing him out as he leaves. I nod frustrated I look around grabbing my gear and heading for the battle ground. Misela steps inside the tipi I hide in a corner as she goes over to the infants and I sneak out. I hold my sword close looking around for Indian guards. I run into the West Boundaries meeting on the edge of a small path. Tandal smiles nodding at me. "How did you know I was here?" I say looking at Tandal who's taking my hand and holding it close to him.
"You not stupid. I know not stay in tipi forever" he says. I look at him carefully as he continues smiling. He places a hand on my cheek smiling.
"So you know I was going to come. You know I need to be just as involved as you we are partners for life we don't have a choice" I say. I smile at Tandal heading to the rest of the troops.
"Madam, you aren't suppose to be here" someone says to me. I look at him in disapproval, Tandal nods leaving my side.
"Sir, I am a lady you will not speak to me in such a manner" I say staring at him.
"She allowed here" Tandal says looking. He leads me toward the front where another tribe is awaiting. I stand straight nodding toward them as a man in feathers, animal skins, comes forward. I walk towards him nodding again.
"I am second in Chief Leon, you be chief Tandal wife Aridana"he says. I nod again placing my hand in front of myself.
"Yes I am Aridana. You sent two guys to come steal something we do not have another tribe the Sioux has the item you're looking for. We have stolen nothing, that tribe steals from every tribe" I say nodding again.
"Steal my infant son Mioriux" he says. I look at him coming closer.
"We have two infants they both orphans we can provide you with the infant son has your heir but we will not give our daughter up" I say.
" We take infant boy. Bring here before dark" Leon says. I nod calling for someone to come forward.
"Bring the infant boy at once we don't need to lose more people to this. Now bring him" I shout.
Tandal comes over to me smiling at my decision. I take his hand watching him think closely. A little while later the man comes back with the blue bundle. I take the bundle walking over to Chief Leon who's waiting for me. I nod handing him the bundle.
"Here's the infant we promised you now please allow us to have the family" I say. Leon smiles looking at the bundle letting the family come over to our tribe.
"Thank you" I say looking at him again. Chief Leon and his people come forward lookin at me again.
"We be allies with you. You good tribe friendly we will join you in this war" Chief Leon says. I nod looking at him.
"Chief Leon we will be family together we can stop a massacre when the rest of the whites come to find us. We need you to work with us not against us" I say smiling at him. I nod in approval going over toward Tandal who's looking very nervous.
"We need the extra help anything is better than nothing" I say. I look around confused.
"This is Ameo' sona'e, -htse'eme Chief Leon says pointing to her. The girl has long black flat looking hair. She smiles nodding at me holding the infant.
"My names Aridana, Tandal is chief and I am to be his wife soon" I say looking at Ameo' sona'e.
