A forever home is finally what I can say a safe heaven. Tandal and I walk toward the big empty field or what I would call a pasture full of many different possibilities. The years have gone on its calm and mellow everyone has decided to get along and there is no more fights or war. Indians or Native Americans are finally treated equally. My father has grown incredibly ill and sick over the years. He cannot walk or speak.
"Aridana, we fire wood" Tandal says looking at me with exhausted eyes and yawns. I nod and leave him to care for my father. I roam the woods for what seems hours and slowly collects the fire wood. My body begins to ache, our children have left us all alone. I close my eyes gently thinking of the future.
"Aridana, I have word about a tribe moving into our territory what do you want done?"Daniel says behind me. I turn holding onto a tree for support Daniel moves toward me helping me stand.
"Aridana, what is the matter you are very warm"He says looking at me carefully. I grab his arm tightly coughing up, red liquid spills out onto the ground. I hear Daniel shouting as another set of hands grabs my other arm.
"Come quickly we must see Misela, something is very wrong with Aridana"Daniel shouts to someone nearby. Suddenly I black out and my mind wanders. Suddenly I feel a set of arms wrap around me I gently open my eyes noticing Misela shaking me awake.
"Ari, you need stay wake. You lose much blood" she says holding me into a sitting position. I look around the tipi noticing Carila sitting on the ground with a young girl playing with her. She looks over at me glaring with a smirk on her face. I grab Misela's arm pulling my self up to stand. Slowly I walk over to Carila grabbing her by her hair.
"Would this be your child to Tandals" I say glaring she smiles nodding.
"Yes, Miss Aridana she is" Carila says. I grab her hair tightly pulling her up.
"You must leave before I do something you will hate to see"I growl slapping her hard. Tandal walks into the tipi staring at me as I feel something run down my leg. Suddenly a sharp pain runs up in my stomach I scream out loudly. I reach out for something to support me when suddenly I fall onto the ground. Tandal runs to me helping me up he looks down at my leg.
"Misela, was she this before you got to her" he says.
"Chief, she was fine no mark there before I leave her with Carila" Misela says as Carila quickly bolts out of the room. I cry out loudly feeling the pain get even more sharp. Misela pulls the hems of my dress up noticing a bite mark on my thigh.
"Carila, bring poison spider to kill"she says. He holds me tightly.
"Get stuff make her better" Tandal says in a begging like tone.
