"Everybody please open your bibles to Psalms verse 23. And please stand.", I rolled my eyes as I stood up with my bible app. It seemed like I'd heard this scripture a million times literally. Considering the fact that my father is a preacher, Reverend McClendon.
He started preaching about how we should trust in God. I pulled out my phone and started playing a random game while chewing my gum loud. I didn't really care. My mom who was sitting behind me tapped me on top of my head with her fan, "Mckenzie be quiet. You are being so disrespectful!" I turned around looked at her, rolled my eyes, popped my gum as loud as I could, and turned back around. I was just too ready to get out of service. I had plans for this evening.
My parents think I'm going to spend the night at my friend Tasha's house. Ummm how about no? I'm going out! My class just graduated yesterday and my friend Rayan was having her graduation party at this huge club house! She invited all the cool seniors and juniors. Of course I got a VIP invite. So I got to be in the balcony with Rayan. Rumors were celebrities were supposed to be there. She's related to a few celebrities, so she basically gets what she wants.
Finally church was over. I had my own car. So I didn't stay and socialize. I practically sped home. Once I got there I took a long shower. When I got out I put lotion all over my body. It had glitter in it. I just loved the way the pink and gold glitter glistened on my soft skin. I flat ironed my hair and it stopped just at the middle of my back. Finally I stood in my closet to see what I was gonna wear. I decided to wear my bleached shorts, pink and white striped tank top. And my pink and red valentines shoes. I went back into my restroom to add some finishing touches. I put on light pink eye shadow, pink lip gloss, and black eyeliner and mascara. Pink brought out my brown eyes.
When I walked out I put on a hoody to cover up my hair and make up and left. My gullible parents had finally made it home and were so distracted re-watching todays sermon, they didn't suspect a thing. I followed my GPS to the party. It wasn't that hard to find. Once I got there I skipped everyone in the long line that went around the block. The security guard asked for my name. Once they realized I was VIP two additional security guards led me through the back to VIP. It was turnt up in that party! DJ drew was there and a few people I recognized from TV. I hugged Rayan and we started dancing.
Then a few of the star basketball players walked into VIP. They graduated too. I went to the bar and got some soda. When I turned around I seen this sexy boy standing right behind me about to tap me on my shoulder I guess. I couldn't control the goofy ass grin I had on my face. He was so cute though. I had seen him around with the basketball players and I knew he was really good, but he was so quiet. He had on his Letterman, some 501 Levi's, some Concords and a yellow and purple snap back to match the Letterman. He was truly swagged out. He was yellow with deep green eyes. And light brown curly hair.
