Michael stumbled from upstairs, his hair matted to his forehead, and his cherry lips laced with obvious discomfort and annoyance.
Michael never liked drunks, or at least drunks that told him what to do and emptied their stomachs everywhere.Luke was sitting on the couch watching a Paranormal Witness marathon that lasted for a few hours. As Michael came down the stairs, the intro started playing. Despite the look on the older boys face, they still wanted his attention.
"Mikey, I-I've never this one before, w-would you like to watch it with me?"
Luke offered quietlyMichael only groaned in response before walking into the kitchen, making Luke's eyes soften and look down at their hands.
Luke turned the channel to something less unsettling, Cartoon Network seemed to be their choice, Luke's mood lifted slightly as they saw Steven Universe was on. They adored the relationship between Ruby and Sapphire, how two opposites, erratic and explosive on their own, could come together to stabilize each other.
They weren't sure if they just adored it, or they wanted something like it.Mike rolled back into the living room with another water bottle and a bottle of ibuprofen.
Luke scooted to the other side of the couch, away from where Michael stood.
"Hey,"
Michael called out, but only getting a cold stare from Luke
"Don't be dramatic Luke. You know I would if I could, but, I'm taking care of the bitch I sadly call me best friend, okay?"Luke raised their brows, then let them drop as they nodded once with their eyes falsely glued to the screen. Luke didn't realize when Michael came to sit next to them until he started poking their arm.
"What?"
"You mad bro"
"I don't want your company anymore."
"Awh c'mon. You do want my comp-"
Michael tried to get out before his phone vibratedMichael checked his text, before smiling widely and typing back quickly, making Luke scoff.
"I don't want your company. Especially if I'm keeping you from someone."
"Hey, you're not keeping me from anyone"
The older boy said, obviously distractedLuke just rolled their eyes before placing their palm under their chin
"Why don't I make it up to you and-"
Michael paused before tapping his phone once again and looking up at Luke,
"Take you to a party tonight.""No ew."
"Bring your friend, Ars-Ashle-"
"Ashton."
"Yeah, that boy that likes your brother"
He flashed a smile"Nonbinary pronouns Michael."
"S-sorry. You gu- people are complicated."
"Oops, well I need to go find stuff to wear, and call Ashy poo"
Luke skipped upstairs to get ready even though it was only two thirty.-

-After possibly eight hours of choosing outfits with Ashton and running to the store for 'needed' make up with out Liz questioning them, they were ready.
Ashton settled with black, high waist, skinnies, and a white fitted halter crop top. Luke told them it was basic, but they were the type to go with what they liked and forgot anyone cared.
Luke swore their outfit was the best. Luke wore a black lace sweetheart neckline top, and a mint skirt that stopped before the knee.
The two trotted down the stairs hand in hand, mostly because Ashton didn't want Luke to fall in their heels.
Lukes heels clicked with the hardwood as they landed on the last step, making the now red haired boy look up from his phone."I like your jeans Ash,"
Michael shot a quick smile at them, making Ashton smile back making their dimples show."Green looks nice on you."
Michael looked down at Luke's skirt with a light smile"It's mint."
Luke rolled their eyes before trotting into the kitchen like the sassy beast they are."What they meant was thanks,"
Ashton recovered for Luke"I know"
Michael chuckled
"They're always like what."
Michael bit his lip as he watched Luke try to pour juice as their knees wobbled.-
