Alec stared at the coffee table with the television still blasting in the background. The awkward silence stretched on. Finally, Alec decided to break it. After all, he started this.
"It's okay i-if you don't want to. Sorry I bothered you. Um, goodnight, Magnus." He got up off the comfortable couch and started walking towards the door. As he reached for the bronze doorknob, Alec felt a hand on his shoulder. He turned around. There he was, Magnus, staring right at Alec with his cat like eyes.
"Alexander, I never got to reply, did I? So, how's next Friday?"
At that, Alec's face clearly brightened. He felt as if a heavy weight had been lifted off his chest, "Really? That-that's great. I'll call you to make plans." He smiled,"Goodnight Magnus."
But Magnus stepped in front of he Shadowhunter.
"I believe you never paid?"
Alec sputtered and his eyes widened, making his blue eyes shine.
"I didn't bring money!  I'm so sorry. I'll bring the money tomorrow perhaps.  Or I can run and get it right now or-"  Magnus pressed a long finger on Alec's lips, "You silly Shadowhunter.   I was kidding, you know that?  You're so gullible, it's cute."  Magnus whispered.  Magnus' face was inching closer to his, then, Magnus closed his eyes and his lips were on Alec's.  His reflexes were to push Magnus off, but he couldn't.  Alec melted into Magnus' arms as he got pushed to the wall.  Magnus' kisses were soft, barely  touching his lips, as if he might break if Magnus pressed harder.  Then Magnus left Alec's lips, and started kissing a trail down his neck,"Have you been kissed before, Alexander?"  Whispered Magnus against his neck.
"N-not really."  Replied Alec, unsure.
The warlock smiled," Well, now you have." And continued kissing Alec.  Now it was Alec's turn to smile," Yes. And by an amazing warlock, too"  Magnus bursted with a sudden fit of affection towards the young Shadowhunter. Alec gently pushed Magnus away, but still keeping him close," Do I still have to pay?"
Magnus  pretended to think about it,"Maybe.  But maybe if you kiss me again, I'll call it even."
Alec chuckled,"Deal"  He flipped Magnus so now he was against the wall and kissed him again, harder this time.  More wild.  This continued for another five minutes or so.  Once again, Alec pushed him away, "I'd better get going.  The others will be wondering where I went."
"At one in the morning?" inquired Magnus,"You could stay here for tonight, if you'd like."
Alec visibly blushed against his pale skin," Thanks, but I have to get going.  Next Friday?"
"I thought you would say so.  See you then, Alexander."  Replied Magnus.  He closed the door.  Alec smiled to himself.  Magnus kissed me.  And ran down the stairs-and tripped.

Magnus sighed and leaned his head against the door.  Tonight, he kissed Alec Lightwood.  Sure, he'd had his fair share of unfortunate run ins with the family throughout the centuries, but no rule in the Accords said he couldn't date a Shadowhunter.  Magnus didn't exactly expect a Shadowhunter to thank him for healing him.  And even more so-ask him out on a date.  Maybe Shadowhunters weren't as stubborn and self centred as he thought.  His thoughts were interrupted by Alec yelping.  He must have slipped on the staircase.  He was about to peek his head out to check on Alec but thought better of it. Some moments a man should just keep to himself, without others finding out.  Instead, he strode over to his window, looking out on the street and watched Alec go, with a grin on his face.
