Title: Guitar Pick
Scene 42: Outside/ Porch/ Steph and Maria's House
Steph sighs closing the door and carried a garbage out with her. Luke casually strolls by his hands in the pockets of his black skinny jeans. Steph doesn't notice.
Luke:Oh hey Steph.
Steph:(monotone) Hey.
Luke: How are you?
Steph: It's a weekend how do you want me to feel?
Luke: You seem bored.
Steph:(eyebrow raised) I am.
Luke: You wanna go for a walk? I mean you're already nicely dressed.
Steph looks down at her outfit. A white snug long sleeve with a black cardigan that had cute elbow patches. A pair of light wash jeans that fit her perfectly and some nice flats. He hair in laid back curls that's cascaded around her shoulders.
Steph:(hesitant) Sure.
She throws the trash bag away and opens the white gate surrounding the house and starts walking with him in no specific direction.
Scene 43: Outside/ Streets
Luke: You mind me asking why you're dressed so elegant. I mean you look great. Just curious.
Steph:(slight blush) Just had plans that got canceled.
Luke:(slightly worried) A date?
Steph:(eyes wide, shaking head) No. I mean family plans. No date.
Luke:(content ) Oh. What a waste.
Steph:(shrugs) To be honest I didn't wanna go.
Luke: Nice.
Steph: Yeah.
It's silent as Luke kicks a rocks and crouched down. He picks up a small necklace that laid between leaves. A small guitar pendant on a silver chain.
Luke: Look.
Steph stops and turns towards him. He shows her the necklace and she grabs it.
Steph: It's so cute.
Luke: Why don't you keep it?
Steph: Maybe it had some value to who ever lost it.
Luke: Who would loose something so sentimental?
Steph: You're right.
Luke:(grabs the necklace) Here turn around.
Steph turns around confused. Luke pushes her hair to one side and reaches over her to put the silver chain around her neck. He clasps it and then moves her hair to let fall mid back. Steph feels the cold object that falls just above her collar bone and fixes it.
Luke:(smiles) Looks good on you.
Steph:(blushing) Really?
Luke(nods) Your cheeks are flustered. It's cold out here huh.
Steph:(nods) Yeah maybe that's why.
Luke: We should get you back home before your parents start to worry.
Steph nods and gives him a tight smile as they start to walk back to her house.
