Percys POV

Thalia barricaded herself in my room as  I called Annabeth.

"Hey Annie. Come over I have something special for you."

"DO NOT call me Annie. What is so important? I am trying to find another maid.. I mean.. Just in case.. you know.." I heard her sniffle over the phone.

"Baby come over. Let me take your mind off things."

I heard a small whimper before the line ended.

~10 min later~

I open'd the front door to reveal a crying Annabeth. I took her into my arms and walked her inside."

I sat down and pulled her into my arms. She snuggled her head up and wailed.

"She is my best friend.. What if she doesn't make it?! I can't replace her Percy.. I can't.."

"Annabeth you won't have to. She will be fine. She will wake up before the wedding I promise you." Annabeth groaned and hit my chest . She jumped up and began yelling at me.

"You can't promise that Percy! You can't do that to me!"

I stood and tried to embrace her but she pushed me away.

"When have I ever broke a promise?" I said, bluntly.

She looked at me, tears escaping her eyes.

"Percy.. Can we talk about something different? What was this surprise you spoke of earlier?" She said, calmly sitting back down.

I only smiled at her and banged on the table three times. I heard footsteps approach the living room and Annabeths expression turn to pure shock.

Thalia's pov

Upon hearing my que, I open'd up the door and stepped out into the doorway of the living room. Annabeth stood and stared in shock.

"This is a dream.. There is no way my best friend is standing in front of me. No way.. I need to call Nico.." She said reaching for her phone. I lunged forward and knocked it out of her hand.

"NO!" Percy and I both yelled in unison.

She looked at both of us confused.

"Is it really you? This is real?" She said, jumping up. I only nodded before she lunged up and tackled me. Tears began to spill from both of our eyes as we laid on the ground. Percy began to laugh. Annabeth sat up and smiled.

"So maid of honor. Why can we not tell Nico?"

She stood and helped me up. We sat down on the couch and smiled.

"Seriously why can't we? He deserves to know! You two are kind of almost engaged!!" She yelled.

"We are gonna surprise him on the day of the wedding. It was Percy's idea and I hate it but he won't let me leave the apartment." I spoke.

"Speaking of, your dress is in my closet and your makeup is in the bathroom burried under towels. Nico is coming over tomorrow can't have him find anything. "

Annabeth looked over at me before scowling at Percy.

"You can't keep to lovers apart! HE NEEDS TO KNOW!!"

"No m'am. None of this. It will be so worth it." Percy said, crossing his arms.

Annabeth groaned and looked at me.

"I'm sorry hun. He is being a little shit."

May 24th

Percy's POV

Nico would be here in a couple hours and there is no way to hide Thalia this time. He is already suspicious from a couple days. Annabeth seemed chilled about everything, not caring if he found out, leaving all the panic to me. I frantically searched for a place to hide her, even considering dropping her off at the park or just canceling the event tonight overall.

"Percy listen man, if he finds out tonight he finds out tonight. There is nothing you can do about it." Annabeth said nonchalantly.

"I swear if you have something going on behind my back."

"You'll do what?  Kill me?" Thalia said, winking at Annabeth. I groaned and grabbed Thalia's arm and dragged her into the bathroom in my room.

"Stay." I said sternly.

"Bark bark. " She growled back. I walked into the other room to see Nico and Annabeth standing there awkwardly talking about what I assume would be Thalia.

"Percy, have you heard anything from the hospital yet?" He asked frantically. I sighed, before I could say anything, Annabeth blandly spoke.

"I HAVE TO GO TO THE BATHROOM." She said, running into my room. I groaned and looked over at Nico.

"What is her problem??"

"Nothing man.. She just doesn't like the main bathroom I guess." I said nervously.

"I wonder what is so good about the other one. I want to know actually." Nico said, taking a step forward. I quickly stood in front of him.

"Hey man.. The wedding is tomorrow! Lets go out and get a few drinks.. Celebrate the last night of being free, am I right?" I chuckled nervously. He looked at me confused.

"Sure.. Just go tell your fiance." He said, defeated. I ran back into the room and saw Annabeth and Thalia gossiping.

"Ladies, go out and have fun. Nico and I are heading out before tomorrow so have fun." They looked at each other, then back at me smiling.

"No strippers. Have fun!" Annabeth said.

Thalia's pov

Percy walked out of the room and the apartment.

"You ready to see your man again Thals?" Annabeth asked. I nodded and smiled.

"Lets do this."

Annabeth grabbed my makeup as a smirk spread across her face. Tears began to spill over my cheeks.

"Wait wait wait, what happend?! Why are you crying?!" Annabeth frantically said, wiping my face.

"What if Percy is right? I mean id rather get it done tonight and not steal the thunder from you wedding night but what if this is a mistake? Maybe we should just sit tonight out." I spat out. Annabeth only shook her head.

"He is dying without you, but if you feel like following through with Percy's plan, then we can. But I refuse to let tonight go to waste." She said, standing up and walking away. She returned with a bag and carefully dumped it out on the counter. Scissors, combs, tweezers, booze and tissue. I looked at her with confusion before grabbing my hair.

"Annabeth no. What's wrong with my hair?!"

"Thalia you've been in the hospital forever. You have split ends to the max, plus I have a perfect idea." She said, almost bouncing up and down. I slowly nodded as I stroked my long, ratty hair.

"But what about the tweezers. Please, do not put me through the torture of plucking eyebrows."

"Thals, Darling. You have to look like you are perfectly healthy and alive at my wedding. That means full face makeup, and perfect brows. Do it because you love me." She pleaded. Reluctantly, I nodded my head and moved my hands. This was going to be a long night.

Okay wow, I did not think this many people actually wanted this story to go on. Now that I know this, I will definitely start to pick my writing back up more.
