Day 1 of a 365 day journey. I'll see where the world takes me. My life hopefully will be reaching nearly an all time high. My time is now and I will make it through another year. They got me celebrating as if the time has come. As if I've already won. Like I'm the number one. But we haven't reached there. I'm just a team player. One day I'll be the captain, the Beyonce, the champion. 2016 is my time to shine. The year I graduate from this 2 year hell. Onto bigger things in life. I'll finally be in the spotlight. My final awakening to reality. To fix all the mistakes I've made trying to create this fantasy. My time is now. To surpass all the stereotypes and the expectations of a young black woman. I want to show them all that I am capable of living my own life. But still having true love. My heart is open but exclusive for only those who have proved there worth because in 2016 my love isn't just going to be passed around. It will be earned by the right one for now. My friendship is not just something I call everyone but people I call my friends will be my true ride or die. My family will finally understand me in 2016. But today is only day 1 in a 365 fay journey. We'll see where the world will take us.
