Every night near midnight I hear a girl who screams. She could be letting out her anxiety but I don't believe that. I can feel that she is getting hurt. I hear her screams every night. They keep me awake. I pray that she is okay and no one is getting hurt but I can feel her getting beaten and damaged. She is broken I feel her pain. I can't call the cops because I don't know where it is or if it's real. She could just be the broken girl inside me trying to escape. She is the part of me that knows I will never make it. That I will be stuck in this town. But that is why she doesn't come out till midnight. She stays there until it is safe to let her out. She tries to creep out in classes but I am tightly locked away. I am distant. She is distant. She will stay distant until I die. There is a girl I hear who screams every night. She keeps me awake until I take flight.
