"Lilly come on!, your going to be late!" My mum shrieked at me from down stairs. I sighed as I rolled my numb body out of bed. I didn't want to go to school. I never wanted to . I was scared. They would be waiting for me somewhere. They would be there to tease me,shout at me,abuse me. Yesterday's bruises were just coming through and my body ached with pain. I got ready quickly and slowly made my way to school dreading the day ahead of me.

I put in my headphones and smiled when overjoyed by bastile started to play. It was my favourite song and the sound of dans peaceful voice made me forget everything for just a second.

"Oh I feel overjoyed

When you listen to my words

I see them sinking in

Oh I see them crawling underneath your skin

Words are all we have

We'll be talking

We'll be talking

These words are all we have

We'll be talking

And I hear you calling in the dead of night

And I hear you calling in the dead of night"

Suddenly I felt something hard hit the back of my head.great. I paused my iPod and turned around my heart beating fast.

"Oh Lilly come here you slut!" It was Charlie . The ring leader. He through another rock this time catching me in the cheek. It was sharp and my eyes started to water with pain.

RIGHT LILLY KEEP WALKING.i told myself. But the more steps I toke the more insults he shouted at me. I started to run. I don't know why. It was a stupid thing to do, but I did. I ran all the way down kings street and round the corner.

"YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE LILY, I WILL GET YOU!" I was so frightened. But I kept on running all the way to school. I looked back quickly but Charlie was no where to been seen. I was still out of breathe when I got to my locker. I sighed, got my books and went to walk away.

" lily lily lily, you Thought you could run did you?" Said Charlie with a grin on his face as he whacked my head against the lockers.

"Leave me alone!" I shouted!. But he carried on beating me into the locker doors and kicking me. Pain waved through my body violently. Then he stopped quit suddenly and his grip loosened as I fell to the ground. It was the others. I could seem their outlines through my flinching watering eyes.

"Looks like you've done a good job Charlie but we can take it from here" said amber. Charlie laughed and walked away giving me one last kick to the ribs. i knew Charlie's beating was just the starter to it all .Kylie started pulling my hair and Millie and Lauren kicked me all over my body. It was hard to believe these girls used to be my friends.

Someone must have been coming round the corner as they suddenly all ran away leaving me numb, broken and bleeding on the floor. I felt dead. I was shaking all over and my head was thumping. The persons footsteps were getting louder so I quickly stood up and ran to the girls toilets before anyone saw me in such a state. I locked my self in the cubicle and started to cry. The tears burning my cuts on my face. My body felt broken and fragile. Wheezing in pain I searched for my iPod and listened to dans voice until the tears stopped falling. I unlocked the door and checked no one was their who had been listening to me sobbing. I was meant to be in maths but I decide that I was so fed up that I couldn't be in this awfull place any longer so Once again, I ran. I ran out the door, out the gate and into the streets. "These streets are yours you can keep them!" I sang to myself smiling slightly. I ran and ran and ran. I must have ran for at least half an hour because I didn't really regonise the road names or buildings. I ran across a stretch of green land when suddenly,. I collided into somebody and we both fell to the floor with a crash. I felt too numb to get up and my eyes were still watering but i heard a soft voice from the person I had ran into.
