Can you feel the silence?

Lily's point of view

I heard voices all around me. I heard crying. My head was thumping and my arms felt heavy and weak. My legs were numb and I felt dead. I tried to move but my aching joints a bruises stopped me from doing so. I opened one eyes but it hurt too much so I closed it again. My thoughts started to build up as I tried my hardest to think where I could be and what had happened. Then I remembered dan I remembered Charlie,Millie ,Lauren and amber kicking me and ripping me to shreds. I wondered if dan was still here and if it was him that was crying. RIGHT LILY OPEN YOUR EYES. I told myself. Eventually I managed to open both eyes after a fair few goes. At first my vision was blurred but then they focused. I saw dan with his head in his hands crying and Kyle behind him his arm around his shoulder.

"D...dan" I Crocked . My throat was dry and strained. He suddenly looked up surprised and he smiled. His smile looked like he had just won the lottery or something.he moved his chair closer to the bed and held my hand. None of us said anything for the next 5 minutes or so but it was great to feel dans warm hands around mine protecting me.

"How are you feeling" dan said scooping my hair from over my face to behind my ear.

"I'm.. I'm okay" I lied. I was in agony.

"I'm so sorry!" Dan blurted out tears trickling down his cheeks.

"For what?" I said I was totally confused

"It's all my fault,I shouldn't have left you there alone!" He sobbed

"Hey hey dan! It's okay you didn't know!" I protested. I didn't want him thinking it was his fault. It was defiantly not his fault.

"Look dan If it wasn't for you I might not even be here! You called the ambulance right?" He nodded. "Excatly you saved my life dan, your my hero"

He blushed and tried to cover his face with his face and that made us all laugh even Kyle.

"Ooohhhhh dans blushing" Kyle shouted from the corner laughing.

Dans point of view.

I was so overjoyed when I saw here eyes open. ( pun ;) I think not) I couldn't help but smile when she said my name. Apart from her bruises and cuts there was nothing really wrong with her. No broken bones, no brain damage , no organ failures. She was alive and that's all that mattered to me. It felt strange that I was so protective over her but I couldn't help it. She was a fan and I couldn't let her suffer like this. Suddenly a phone rang and broke the beautiful silence between us. (*Sings*Can you feel the silence!). It was Lilly's phone and her ringtone was bad blood which made us all smile. Kyle passed the phone to me and I passed it to Lilly. She couldn't hold the phone properly because her hands were bruised and bloody so I held it to her ear for her.

"Hello?" She said. But then she paused and shut the phone ending the call.

"Who was it?" Kyle said from behind me.

"No one" she said angrily.

"No come on who was it ?" I said more out of concern than curiosity.

"My bullies" she said quietly.

"The ones who did this to you?" Kyle asked. She nodded tears rolling down her checks and down here neck.

"It's okay,don't you worry, we will protect you" I said and hugged her. She grinned and tried her best to hug me back. I wipped the tears from her eyes with my finger being carefull not the hurt her in anyway. The phone rang again. Her smile dropped. I don't know why but I felt the erge to pick up the phone so I did.

"RIGHT I DON'T CARE WHO YOU ARE BUT YOU LEAVE THIS GIRL ALONE YOU HERE ME!SHES NOT YOUR PUNCHING BAG ANYMORE!DONT YOU DARE LAY ANOTHER FINGER ON HER!" I screamed down the phone angrily.

"But it's fun" came the reply. It was a boy who was sniggering uncontrollably . I went to speak again but she grabbed my hand signalling me to stop. So I ended the call.

"It's no use" she said"they will never stop"

" how long has this been going on for, and wait I never asked your name!" I said just realising.

"My names lily and ummm since year 6"

"What year are you in now?" Kyle said.

"Ten" I said.

" you mean they've been doing this to you for 4 years?" I was shocked.she nodded.

"It wasn't so bad at the start , just the odd name calling and hair pulling but then Kylie moved into town and it all got worse,I ran away a few times and I guess your music has been my only escape" her words made me want to cry. She didn't deserve this.

5 hours later.

Dans point of view still.

We had been at the hospital for at least 6 hours but I didn't mind as long as lily was going to be okay. During this time Kyle had to leave and lily slept for a bit.

"Wait won't your family be worried about you? I mean it's nearly 9!" Lilly bit her lip.

"No they'll be fine"I looked at her deep in the eyes as if begging her to explain."we'll my brother won't give a fuck, my dads probarly out drinking and my mums still at work" she said acting like it was no big deal.

"But won't they care?" I asked. She screwed up her face a shook her head. I sighed, none of this was fair.

Lily's point of view

Daniel was being so perfect. He was being so nice and I knew he Probably had things to be doing but he said he refuses to leave till I'm out. He held my hand tightly every time a tear escaped my eyes. It was crazy. For once somebody actually cared.

"Will you do me a massive favour?" I asked him

"Yeah umm sure" he said grinning a little.

"Sing for me" I asked. I so badly wanted to hear his beautiful harmonies and his perfect lyrics.i knew it would calm me down.

"I mean I've never been able to afford to see you live well not that my mum would let me or" dan stopped me mid sentence.

"Of corse I will sing for you!" He smiled " what song does the lady require?" He said in a posh accent. I giggled.

"Oblivion please my kind sir" I laughed.

Then he began. His voice sending chills down my spine and through my veins. He hit every note perfectly and smiled at me throughout every line. When it came close to the end I decided to join in.

"Oh oblivion, is calling out your name

You always take it further,

Than I ever can"

We sang together. It was heaven. Dan smiled at me and we both drifted into a peaceful sleep his hand intertwined with mine. I never knew he was such a gentlemen.
