(Rage's POV)

I run all day with a million thoughts swirling around in my head. The main one was mostly. Why me, out of all people.

BECAUSE my wolf jeers WE'RE IRRESISTIBLE..

I mentally laugh at the way she says it.

Finally hunger ebs away at me and I decide to go home. Not to mention it's getting dark, and that's always when rouges strike.

When I arrive my aunt bursts through the door before I can knock.

"Oh Rage come help. It's Eric he's so sick." She says.

Eric is one of my there cousins he's barely two, my cousin Jaqueline is eleven, and Reed is eight. I follow my aunt into her room."Eric"I gasp and scoop him up. He's burning up and he's as pale as a ghost.

"Nothings working I've tried everything." She says, tears running down her face.

My aunt is short so I have to bend down to hug her.

"Everything?" I ask not wanting to believe it.

"Yes! Nothing's working!" She whispers.

I let go of her and begin to pace. There's only one solution, if she's really tried everything.

The pack doctor.

We never go into the village unless we have to so we usually just use human remedies when we're sick.

"The pack doctor." I say.

"Will they even help us?" She asks

"If they don't, I'll leave the pack with him and seek help from the enemy." I say darkly.

She opens her mouth to most likely object to me taking her son to another pack . I let some of my alpha power roll off me and she closes it.

"I'm coming." She says.

I nod and go wait by the door impatiently for ten minutes while she wakes everyone. We pile into her small car and go. I don't let even Rose hold Eric the whole time. Something is settling in on me, my instincts are telling me to protect the little ones at all costs.

We arrive at the pack doctors house by the alpha's house.

I jump out with everyone on my heels. I knock on the door several times and finally our old pack doctor Rene opens it

The third in command appears behind him. I try explaining what's happening, but I don't get much out before we're denied.

He takes one look at us and says. "He can not help you."

Heat. White hot heat rushes through my veins, because I should've known. I should've known they'd let me down

I turn to my aunt and say. "We're leaving."

She nods. I hold on tight to Eric and take off tuning for the borders to our pack. Nothing can stop me.
