Chapter 20

Rage

"I can't believe this!" He exclaims.

"Neither can I. Now get off." I say shoving him off me with ease.

"Your strong."

"Yeah, remember that." I growl.

There was a sharp rock diging into my back.

I'm not enjoying the pain from it at all.

"Hmmmm....I lived in the wild and kept better care of myself. You need to shave and take a bath." I say holding his face down to where I can examine it.

He smiles cheekily.

"And wipe that smile off your face before smack it off and then bathe again. " I say pushing his face away.

I was tired and everthing, but, I was happier then I'd ever been my whole life. I look over to my dad and smile, like never before. I see a tear slide down his cheek as he waves goodbye and turns, sprinting off into the distance.

Unlike last time, I know he'll be back. I know that now there's something tethering him here to me, like there is me to him. I don't know what it is, but I do know it feels like a connection thats broke through any feeling I've ever had before. I feel at peace with the world for once.

"This day forward, I am untouchable!" In whisper to myself.

And I mean it too.

He comes over to me scooping me up in his arms.

"I can walk you know."

"I know, but I don't know which way that is you want to walk. So I'm carrying you so that you don't escape me again. Ever." He whispers.

"Escape, runing away,hiding, there all overrated to me now." I reply as he kicks up his pace and takes us...home. :)
