RAGE

Wholey shit!Is all I can think.

"Huh?" Corey says looking from the alpha to me.

Then a look of understanding dawns on his face. It's quickly replaced though by one of anger.

"No." He growls pushing me behind him."My mate."

I here the alpha growl though I can't see him becuase of Corey's tall figure I know he is pist off at someone else calling his mate their's.

That's what he gets for being so cold.I think to myself angrily.

HE'S ARE MATEmy wolf says quietly before becoming quiet herself.

No!He's not Corey is,remember!I shout.

RIGHTshe says regaining her confidenceCOREY IS OUR MATE AND HE WILL LOVE US UNLIKE OUR REAL MATE.HE IS NOT COLD.

Yeah.I say agreeing.

"Corey."I say calmly"Do not disreapect our alpha.We are here so that we can notify him of us becoming mates soon not be rude."I put my hand on his shoulder and he relaxes.

"MATES!YOU WRE GOING TO TRY AND MATE MY MATE YOU OLD FOOL!YOU NEED TO THINK AGIAN BECUASE YOU ARE NOT!"The alpha yells at him.

"Alpha please calm down your scaring my mate and causing people to stare."Corey says when he feels me shrink away.

The alpha looks around as if just remembering we're in the middle of the village.

"Come in." He says In darkly stepping back for us to enter.

As I go past him he runs his hand along my arm.

I feel tingles. He's perfect. I watch as his muscles ripple beneath his dark brown shirt.His short black hair is all messy.

He leads us to his office.

He goes and sits behind his desk and we sit in the chairs infront of

it.

The alpha sits there silently. He's glaring at Corey intensely.

Suddenly he turns to me and ask"your name please."

"Rage."I reply.

"What,you've got to be kidding me what kind of name is Rage?"he laughs.

I let out a deep growl."it's my kind of a name."I say glaring at him.

ALPHA ALEX

"What,you've got to be kidding me what kind of a name is Rage?" I say with a fake laugh.

She let's out growl and says"it's my kind of a name."

Rage wait a second why does that name seem familiar.

Hmmmm.......Wait a minute I remember now.

"How dare you have the arrogance to show your face here after disgracing your pack."I growl

"I came back didn't I?I've been back for two weeks."

"I was told you left during the rougue attack ."I say thoughtfully

"Well you we're told wrong. I was gone only one night."she says impatiently.

"Why did you leave in the first place."

"My cousin Eric needed a doctor and your third in command refused to allow the Rene to help.So I took him to where someone would help."

"Why would my third in command do that?"

"Because of my cousins rank."

Rank? What is her rank I should've already asked?

"And your rank is?" I ask.

She gives me a disgusted look." The lowest there is."

Well that's pack scum.Wait my mate is pack scum?

How could she ever be a Luna. She could never be strong enough to defend this pack.

NO my wolf growls SHE IS A PERFECT LUNA.I CAN FEEL HER POWER.AND SO CAN YOU IT'S JUST NOT EFFECTING US AS IT WOULD A LOWER WOLF.

Now I think of it I can feel her power.

She's beautiful and perfect.Her hair is dark brown like her eyes.Her eyes have mischievous flint in them.

What does he have that I don't.

Jealousy fills me when she takes his hand and smiles at him.

SERIOUSLY WHAT DOES HE HAVE THAT I DON'T!

I'm an alpha he's only a beta.She should be smiling at me not him.There must be a reason as to why she is obviously rejecting me.

"Corey could you leave so I can talk to Rage privatley?"i ask.

He grits his teeth and is about to object when Rage gives him a stern look and kisses him on the cheek and says"Go,this won't take to long."

He rigidly gets up and leaves.

I stare into my mates eyes and she stares into mine.

"Why?"I ask tears bluring my vision"What's wrong with me?Why are you rejecting me?"

Her eyes soften"Becuase"she says masking her emotions"your heart is cold.And i'm a lower ranking wolf so no one would agree with it."

"They would if I told them to."I say my wolf getting angry at the thought of anyone refusing to aknowledge his mate AS THEIR lUNA.

"You could but there is no need to becuase you are not my mate Corey is."She says quietly.

"NO!"I roar slamming my hands on the table"I REFUSE TO LET IT HAPPEN.YOU ARE MINE.LOW RANKING WOLF OR NOT!"

She smiles and says"You don't get it do you. You think after years of this pack treating my family like crap I'd ever want to be your mate?"

"I-I"I stutter not knowing what to say.

She shakes her head and gets up to leave.

"Wait!"I say desperately.

She turns expectantly.

I'm lost for words but my wolf knows what to say."This isn't over.not by a long shot."

She nods and leaves.

RAGE

"This isn't over.Not by a long shot."he says and I know by his black eyes it's his wolf speaking when he says it.

I nod and leave.

WHY DOES ARE MATE HAVE TO BE SO HOT AND SO COLD my wolf whines.

Oh shut up.

OK is all she says. She knows not to mess with me usually it's the other way around but not with us.

"Hey,beautiful I missed you."Corey says grasping me in a tight hug

"I missed you to." I say finally giving in to him and snuggling into him. I could get used to this.

It seems even though he's not my true mate he can take all my pain away.

"Corey?"someone says behind him.

Wrapping his arms around my waist he turns us around to face the third in command.

"Yes Damond."he says giving me a sloppy kiss on the cheek.

"I,um heard the alpha found his mate any idea who she is?"he asks almost shyly

"Nope,but this is my soon to be mate."He says kissing me on the head.

"Hello I'm Damond." He says respectfully.

"Hi,I'm Rage Henderson" I say timidly.

"Well,it was nice to meet you." He says nodding and turning and leaving.

I sigh and lean into Corey. What the hey at least he's not ugly.I guess........
