RAGE

I smell his scent so strong.It's like that's the only scent my wolf will take in.I'm shaking now,from excitment.My wolf is fighting me to run into town and go to him.

"You okay?"My dad asks.I nod.

Something in my head explodes with hurt and pain.It makes me turn around.My wolf is urging me to,too.I give up on resistance and turn around to look at nothing but trees and..................Oh,my,god.

He stands there shirtless barefoot in only jean shorts.

"No!"I whisper.

"What"My dad asks turning around.His mouth turns into an O.

"I thought you masked your scent?"

"I did."

"You can't mask your scent from your mate."He says walking towards me.

I cower away from him.

"What's wrong Rage?You scared?Well you should be.Your a rougue tresspassing on my land.So are you Reece."

"No,I belong to a pack now.Actually,I'm an alpha."My dad says jutting his chin out.

"Ah,yes.I can tell.You two standing next to each other is a very threatening feeling.You know that?"He keeps coming closer.

I back away from him.He's dangerous to me.

"What's wrong Rage?You seem a little disturbed by my appearance on my own land."

"That's it Alex!You marry me or your done!"A high female voice says coming from behind him..Then appears the warrior wolf's daughter.Brittney.

"Oh,it's you.What is she doing here?"She asks in a disgusted voice.

Rose.My backbone kicks in,for now.

"Oh don't worry.I've only come to wish you happy honey moon.Gooluck,your pups will be muts for sure."My voice comes out like poison.

She gasps."You...you.Augh!"She splutters.I smile devilishly.I haven't felt this good in a while.My old self,cool,calm,and under control.

"What makes you think your pups will turn out fine?"Alex asks.

"Uh,duh.I have a powerful bloodline that's been going for hundreds of years.Yours has been around four genarations tops."I say in a bored voice.

Brittney glares at me.

"Aww,are you mad?Come and get me then.Your a big girl."

"Brittney no!"Alex shouts,it's too late though.She's already shifted.I shift and go in and finish what I started when Rose died.I kill the bitch.

"Who are you going to marry now?Anyone else I need to kill?"I ask after sliding some clothes on.

"Rage we need to cover him and go."My dad says.

"Rage,your not leaving here agian.I don't care if I have to lock you up,you will not leave me again.You can't honestly think I was going to marry that crap."Alex says.

My dad starts quickly shoving dirt into the pit we dug onto Corey.

"You can't make me."

"Yes I can."He says and then I hear the growling of several wolves as they surround us.

"Stop this,you know I can rip through these wolves and be gone like that."I say.

"Look closer at these wolves,Rage.Who do you see?"

"What...............?"I trail off as I look into the eyes of the lower ranks.They're all filled with pitty,not hate and animalism.I can't kill them,and he knows it.

"Dad,what do we do?"

"I don't know."He says as he looks into the eyes of the people he once knew.

"Stand down!"I command and take off when it fazes them momentarily.

I shoot through the woods with my dad who's in wolf form.It's not long before I'm tackled to the ground.

I know it's him.He's the only one who's fast enough.He growls at me.Ordering me to stop.I struggl unsffected by his command.

He stops and looks down at me.Just stares down at me with big wolfy eyes.He's asking me something.

"What?What do you want?"I ask him.

He shifts."Stay,stayRage.I know you want to.You can run faster then that.I know it."

"I can't......"

":Why not?!?"He asks becoming violent again."I get it the first time you rejected me.You didn't want me to first!But,now................."

I look into his eyes.Close to tears he looks like a mess.He has stubble on his chin from not shaving.There's bags under his eyes and his black hair is ruffled up blowing in the slight breeze.I reach up to touch his face and catch myself.

"No,no,no.It's happening!"I whisper looking at my betraying hand.

There's hurt in his eyes.But slowly something passes over his face.

"Your scared.Your scared of what I can do to you.You'v driven me crazy and you know what having a mate can do to you.Your scared,becuase I affect you that way."

"You don't understand.......I.......I..."I trail off as I realize that's exactly why.I'm a black wolf,I have power.What if he were to hypnotize me,like I've heard a mate can do.Use me,for my power.............

"Rage,I'm a black wolf to,you hold just as much power over me as I do you.I'm powerful like you,don't you think I've considered that my mate would try and use me for power?But that's okay.We have our own power.We're not any stronger than each other.It was fate.Why can't you see that?"Tears roll down his cheeks.

He's right.I look at him.He has the muscles and strong features of an alpha.I had only thought of myself the whole time.I never stopped to consider maybe fate was right.I see now,but...............

"Your dad,id I have any problems with him.I won't hesitate to slap him.Your mom either."I finally say slowly remembering his wretched parents.

He looks confused for a moment before his face lights up.

"You mean,you mean,You'll stay................With me?"

i rub my chin for a moment.YOU CAN'T FIGHT FATE.My dads voice whispers in my head.We stil have a connection.I guess me hating him sustained it.

I WOULD DO ANYTHING TO HAVE YOUR MOM BACK.He says.I look behind me and he gives me a nod.ONE CHANCE.ONE MOMENT.ONE CHOICE THAT CAN DECIDE EVRYTHING,KEEP RUNING.OR SURRENDER TO FATE.IT WILL GET YOU IN THE END THOUGH.

"Yes."I exhale.
