REECE

I peeked into her room and saw her rifling through drawers and putting as much as she could fit into three backpacks.She was leaving,but,where to?

I quietly open the door and come up behind her.She's looking at a picture.It's of Rose and I and a few feet away in the back ground was a not smiling Rage.That was a picture I had taken a few months after they had shifted.

"What do you want?" She whispers.

I hear something in her voice I can't identify.

"Can I see that?" I ask.

She hands it too me and dusts her hands off after like they had gotten dirt on them or something.

I look closer and see that her sleeves are cut off and her arms are crossed.Her muscles are unusually large and she looks like a teenage girl and not a twelve year old girl.There's something in the back of her eyes.I can't really tell what it is though .

"Where are you going?" I ask her

"I can't tell you.But I can tell you you won't be able to find me when I do leave."

"Really" I snort "I will always be,able to find you Rage.Remember who your talking to here.I made you and I can destroy you to."

"Don't count on that.Remember,I'm the last black wolf of the family."

"Who says I couldn't find another mate and have a black wolf child?"

"Not without mom's DNA.Besides you'll be disloyal to her the day I can't move anymore or even think."

I snort.

RAGE

"Whatever.Just get out.I don't even need your help anymore so you can leave."I lied through my teeth.Corey is heavy as hell.

"Yes you do."

"No I don't.Not from you anyways."

"Rage you can't lie to me.I know you need my help."

"Really?That what you think?"I say raising an eyebrow.

He pauses for a moment before saying."Your good Rage."

"Great,now lets go."I say pulling my bag closed.

The drive is two hours long.I'm just glad bodies don't decay that fast and it didn't start to stink in the car I rented.

I get out of the car when we stop and take in the farmilar scenerey.It all comes rushing back to me.The hate.the pain,the anger.I take in a sharp breath.

"You okay?" My dad asks.

"Yeah " I say quickly.

We carry bin into the woods running as fast as We can without dropping him.

I masked my scent before we left.I can amen his.My wolf whines at me to follow if and be with our mate.I can't though.

Once that might have been an option.Not now though.Not after all that's happened with Corey and all.

I pick up the pace as we head towards Lisa's grave sight.

I smell it.

I smell her.

That can't be right.GO! My wolf shouts.

I jump up from my office chair and run out.

"Where are you going son?" My dad shouts.

I don't answer.I'm going to track,down what I'm sure is a another false alarm.

Is am err ly her sweet scent before and chased it to nothing.

The doctor said it was only normal.

The smell gets stronger as my wolf and I run faster.

It has to be her!

I com close to a clearing where the scent ends.

It's intoxicating.

When I step out info the clearing,my eyes show me what I only my deepest dreams are.
