Chapter 23: I Bet

The next week...

I had finished writing "I Bet" and after sending it to Beyoncé for feedback and getting her approval that it's a good song I was ready to go into the studio. I had Presley with me and Kailani. Alia was with Eric today because he was taking all the little kids to Disneyland today and Bruno would pick her and up when they come back.

As Presley and I sit in the studio waiting for Beyoncé we were talking about her baby and her plans.

"Oh, Bella I forgot to tell you something", Presley says
"What's?", I ask as I begin to breastfeed Kailani under her blanket
"Well...your gonna have a god daughter", she smiles
I look up and smiled."No", I chuckled
"Yep", she says
"Oh my gosh Congrats do you have a name?", I asked
"Bernadette", she says

I give her a warm smile.

"It's perfect", I whisper
"Hey lovelies", I hear Beyoncé

I turn and smiled. She walks over too us and hugs each of us.

"I brought Blue I hope you don't mind", she says as lays her sleeping daughter on the couch
"It's alright I had to bring Kailani", I say
"Can I hold her I haven't seen her since you came home from the hospital?", she asks

I unlatch her, cover myself up, and set her up.

"You want to burp her?", I ask
"Yeah", she smiles

I handed her my baby once she sat down and she begins to burp her.

"You know Presley she looks like you", Beyoncé says
"Really?", Pres asks
"I think that too look at her face", I say

We all studied Kailani's face and nodded.

"You and Bruno's genes are strong", I say
"I believe it"
"Okay, so we're recoding today...do you want to make a music video?" She asks
"I think that would be cool", Presley says
"I guess so but I want it to be simple then"
"Okay, well I have the music in my purse already recorded all we need is that beautiful voice me we should be good to go", She says
"Before we start...it's like one in the afternoon and I'm hungry can we please order some food or something?", Presley says
"I remember those days", Beyoncé says
"I'll order some pizza", I say

I leave the room and ordered two large cheese pizzas, a soda, and juice. I enter the room and go into the studio and put on my headphones. I see Beyoncé go to her purse, takes the CD out, and puts it into the player.

"You ready?" She asks

I nodded.

"I Bet take one", she says and the music starts

I look at her like something is wrong.

I nodded.

I leave the room and get my phone.

"Hello?", I ask
"Where the hell have you been?", She says
I leave the studio."I'm at home recovering from having Kailani", I say
"You know your sister is missing and your at home not helping us look for her!"
"What the fuck do you think I can do. Your doing stuff that would be doing if I was down there", I spat
"Bella, your sister is missing", she yells
"You don't think I know that? I'm devastated that this is happening but I can't do anything I have a 4 year old and a newborn who needs my attention right now. So I can't be there looking for her all I can do is send out an amber alert", I say

She stays silent.

"Call me when you hear anything me I'll be there if you need me", I say
"Whatever", she says and hangs up

I go outside and start pacing as tears start to stream down my face. My baby sister is gone and I can't do anything about it. All I can do is pray that she's alright.
