Today was finally the day.

The day of our debut.

I was in my stage clothes, which was a simple one-piece dress with a red belt around my waist. There was a black ribbon in my hair, and heels that I was already nervous of tripping over. I sat in the makeup room, as the artists dabbled the makeup onto my face. Our manager had already told us that we were going with a innocent, school-girl like concept, so I was hoping that meant minimal makeup. Another person was already in the process of curling my hair into fair locks that I had dreamed of ever since I was a child.

"Are you nervous?" the makeup artist surprisingly spoke to me, causing me to jump a little.

"Ah, y-yes," I stuttered back, letting out an awkward laugh, "I can't believe I'm actually going to perform in a few hours."

"But you're from SM, right? I hear SM does very strict training, so you must be more than prepared for you to be able to debut. You'll do great for sure, fighting!!" the makeup artist cheered me on. I gave her a faint smile before focusing back on the mirror. Was all that training really enough? Was I really ready for this?

My phone suddenly buzzed, and I glanced at the message.

I'm in the audience already, waiting eagerly for your performance!!

I smiled.

From: Holly

Thanks Soph! So nervous >.< But I'll make sure to find you in the audience!

Somehow, the news already leaked that SM is debuting a new girl group, and that's all that the audience members are talking about right now! I think it's also blowing up on the Internet. I know you'll do awesome, and it's so awesome how you already have so many people supporting you and eagerly waiting for your performance!!

So news of our debut had already leaked out? But wasn't it supposed to be kept a secret? I started panicking, and immediately headed out of the dressing room as soon as my makeup and hair was done. I ran into our waiting room, and found Chae Hyun and Young Mi there already.

"Holly! You look so cute!" Young Mi exclaimed.

"You too," I smiled briefly at her, "but have you heard? News of our debut has already been leaked out, and it's all over the Internet now!"

"Oh, the manager told us already a few minutes earlier," Chae Hyun replied, "don't worry, they planned this. They want to get everyone hyped so that more people will watch our performance."

"Wow, SM really does think of everything," I muttered, letting out a sigh before sitting down heavily on the couch.

"Are you nervous?" was the first thing Stephanie asked, as she breezed into the room with Eun Yung. All of us nodded our heads.

"We'll do great, I'm sure of it. We came here too early, we still have 2 hours until the show starts," Stephanie laughed, "so for these 2 hours, try to calm yourself down alright? We already practiced a lot, so don't worry about practicing now, and just wander around alright? Manager-nim suggested talking to other artists that'll be performing today."

"Alright," Young Mi was the first to jump up, "that sounds like a good idea."

"Yeah," I took a deep breath, and we all walked out into the hallway.

I absently wandered around the halls for the first 30 minutes, occasionally stopping by and talking to idols who I loved watching on TV. They all seemed to know who I was, and all wished me good luck. I knew they meant the best, but every well-wisher just made me more and more nervous. There was enormous pressure and expectations that were on our shoulders.
